Las Vegas Raiders tight end Michael Mayer (personal) has been ruled out for the Week 4 contest on Sunday against the visiting Cleveland Browns. Mayer didn't practice due to a personal matter on Thursday and now will not be with the team at all this weekend. Top receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) has also been ruled out, so Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker now figure to be quarterback Gardner Minshew II's top targets in the passing game, as well as rookie tight end Brock Bowers. Harrison Bryant should have a bigger role behind Bowers with Mayer out, but he remains off the fantasy radar. Tucker is worth consideration as a WR4/flex play in deeper fantasy leagues with Adams officially out. It's unclear how long Mayer will be away from the team. The 23-year-old former second-rounder has taken a clear back seat to Bowers and has four catches for 21 yards through three games in 2024.

ESPN's Dan Graziano thinks the next quarterback to be benched in the NFL could be Las Vegas Raiders QB Gardner Minshew II. When Minshew won the training camp battle at the position over Aidan O'Connell, it felt like you couldn't rule out the possibility of the two signal-callers flip-flopping back and forth all year. Head coach Antonio Pierce is sticking with Minshew after the embarrassing loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 4, but Pierce certainly wasn't happy after that loss. Minshew is 24th in QBR (44.1) through the first three weeks of the season. It hasn't all been Minshew's fault, but the Raiders could make the move to O'Connell sooner than later just to shake things up. Minshew's Week 2 upset over the Baltimore Ravens likely bought him at least another week. Some with the Raiders thought O'Connell had a slight edge coming out of offseason workouts over Minshew.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew II will remain the team's starter heading into the Week 4 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. There were some rumors going around that the Raiders would shake it up at QB after Aidan O'Connell was called upon to take over under center during Sunday's blowout loss to the Carolina Panthers. For now, the Raiders are sticking with Minshew, but head coach Antonio Pierce hinted that a change could be on the horizon. O'Connell looked decent as he completed 9-of-12 passing attempts for 82 yards and one touchdown in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. Neither quarterback is going to be a viable fantasy option for managers right now.

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers had his least productive game of the 2024 season, being targeted just four times and catching three passes for 41 yards in Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers. It was a negative game script for Bowers. The wide receivers were much more involved in the passing game, likely due to the score getting out of hand quickly. The Raiders were losing 21-7 at the half, and Bowers hasn't been a serious deep threat yet. In closer games, he's likely to have games more like his Week 1 and 2 efforts, where he logged more targets, receptions, and yards. Bowers is still a must-start. He's a rare bright spot in a dismal tight end landscape and still leads the position group in receptions while being second in yards. The Raiders face the Browns, Broncos, and Steelers in their next three games, which should be closer so Bowers could quickly rebound.

Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison continues to lead the team's backfield in fantasy scoring, logging three carries for seven yards and a touchdown while catching three passes for 33 yards in Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers. While the Raiders backfield is hideous for fantasy, Mattison is the clear higher-upside player, outperforming "lead" back Zamir White yet again. Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce stated before the game that White should have 20+ touches, but again, that's failed to come to fruition. White hasn't played well, and while Mattison averages a glacial 2.3 yards per carry, the receiving upside is nice for deeper PPR leagues. Mattison is worth a start in 14+ team PPR leagues with deeper rosters but is also a bust candidate any given week and is mainly touchdown-dependent flex in the Week 4 matchup versus the Cleveland Browns.
