Jacksonville’s busy free agency continued Monday, with the Jaguars signing RB Carlos Hyde to a two-year deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Hyde, 30, spent last season with the Seahawks, where he ran for 356 yards and 4 touchdowns as the backup to Chris Carson. He previously spent four years with the 49ers, half a year with the Browns and a season with Houston, and he spent the second half of 2018 with these Jaguars.
Jaguars bring in Carlos Hyde as No. 2 RB
Fantasy slant: We recently got word that the Jaguars would bring in some depth to the running back room. If this is it, things are looking up for 2020's breakout star, James Robinson. Hyde averaged 8.1 carries per game with Seattle last season, though the Seahawks limited Chris Carson's carries quite often. Even with former college head coach Urban Meyer, Hyde won't reach that number in 2021 and projects as nothing more than Robinson's backup. We'll see if Jacksonville now looks to add a receiving back but as it stands, Robinson remains a low-end RB1 in fantasy. — Adam Pfeifer
