Parker Washington Snags Six Passes Sunday

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington reeled in all six of quarterback Mac Jones' targets for 54 yards in their 19-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Penn State product totaled 54 yards for the second week in a row but doubled his reception total from their loss to the New York Jets in Week 15. Despite low catch totals in his previous two outings, the 22-year-old has been decently involved in the Jags' offense -- racking up at least six targets in three of his last four contests. Jones hasn't been a world-beater but has been competent enough to support stud rookie wideout Brian Thomas Jr. and one other pass-catcher on a weekly basis. Washington will get a far tougher ask in Week 17 against the visiting Tennessee Titans. The Titans have been a chore for opposing wideouts, allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to the position in 2024 (18.3).

Brenton Strange Comes Back To Earth With Minimal Production

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange hauled in 2-of-4 targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 19-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. He also coughed up a costly fumble just before halftime. The second-year pro was quiet in Week 16's loss, totaling just four targets one week after he commanded a ludicrous 12. Strange led the team in receptions a week ago but was a distant third option to wide receivers Brian Thomas Jr. (9/132/1) and Parker Washington (6/54) on Sunday. It's a letdown for fantasy managers relying on him in the fantasy semi-finals. He was again deployed primarily in the short area of the field but could not replicate his performance from the week prior. The 23-year-old will get a stiffer test next Sunday against his division-rival Tennessee Titans. Tennessee has allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends in 2024 (10.1).

Brian Thomas Jr. Dominant Once Again In Week 16

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. was stellar again in Week 16 in a 19-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The rookie receiver finished with nine catches for 132 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown was for 62 yards late in the third quarter. BTJ has proven to be a top young receiver in the NFL given his elite production with inconsistent quarterback play. With both Trevor Lawrence and Mac Jones under center, he has had big games. Just last week he had 10 catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Despite the cards being stacked against him, the rookie has shone brightly for fantasy managers who kept faith in him in the fantasy playoffs. The rookie stud will look to continue his exceptional play in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans.

Tank Bigsby Scores Goal-Line Touchdown In Week 16 Loss

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby had a solid fantasy outing in a 19-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Bigsby finished with 12 carries for 50 yards and a touchdown and one catch for one yard. The young back from Auburn out touched and was more efficient than teammate Travis Etienne Jr. He finished with an average of 4.2 yards per carry compared to Etienne Jr.'s 2.4 yards per carry on nine carries. Bigsby also scored a one-yard touchdown, a good sign for his fantasy prospects going forward. While the Jaguars seem to be using a hot-hand approach, the general pattern this season has been Etienne Jr. is slightly more involved in the passing game while Bigsby is slightly more involved in the running game. Bigsby will look to continue leading the backfield in carries and goal line opportunities in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans.

Travis Etienne Jr. Inefficient In Loss To Raiders

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. was out-touched by teammate Tank Bigsby and didn't do much with the touches he got in a 19-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The 25-year-old back finished with nine carries for 22 yards and two catches for 15 yards. Etienne Jr. was overshadowed by Bigsby, who received 12 carries, caught one pass, and averaged 4.2 yards per carry compared to Etienne Jr.'s 2.4 yards per carry. Etienne Jr. had been more involved in the passing game the last few games, but his involvement dropped across the board in Week 16. Given the hot-hand approach the Jaguars seem to be using, it is hard to trust him in any must-win fantasy matchup. Etienne Jr. will look to be more involved in Week 17 when the Jaguars face the Tennessee Titans.
