Nico Collins Considered Day-To-Day With Hamstring Issue

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) was forced to leave the team's game on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills after hauling in a 67-yard touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud. According to Adam Schefter, the team is now considering Collins day-to-day with the hamstring injury that he seemingly suffered on that play. While the Texans were able to hold on and win the game, losing Collins would be a big blow to the offense while the backfield is already banged up. Collins is currently the WR2 on the season in half-PPR formats, so his status will need to be monitored throughout the week with hamstring issues usually causing more nagging problems.

Texans Optimistic Nico Collins' Injury Is "Short-Term"

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) didn't return to Sunday's matchup with the Buffalo Bills. He's been one of the NFL's top wideouts this season. Unfortunately, there's concern about his health moving ahead after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 5. According to KPRC's Aaron Wilson, the Texans are "optimistic" that the injury is "short-term," so it appears fantasy managers could see him back for the Week 6 matchup with the New England Patriots. Collins will likely undergo more tests in the next day or two and may also miss some practices. If he's ruled out, it will likely mean more targets for Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell.

Stefon Diggs Produces Against Former Team In Week 5

Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs led the way for his offense with a team-high eight targets and 82 receiving yards on six catches in a 23-20 victory in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills. The former Bill has been regularly involved for Houston so far this season, but became Houston's top receiving option once fellow wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) was ruled out for the game on Sunday. Diggs could become an even more intriguing fantasy option in the weeks to come if Collins misses time. The 4-1 Texans will look to keep rolling with a Week 6 visit to the New England Patriots.

Houston’s Tank Dell Moderately Involved In Week 5 Win

The Houston Texans improved to 4-1 with a 23-20 defeat of Buffalo on Sunday, but wide receiver Tank Dell was only moderately involved with four catches for 38 yards. The second-year wide receiver caught all four of his targets and earned a carry, though he was corralled for a loss of five. It was another modest week for Dell, who is third on the team in targets behind fellow wide receivers Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs. With Collins (hamstring) sustaining an injury on Sunday, though, fantasy managers should be closely watching the Houston injury report ahead of Week 6 against New England.

Texans’ C.J. Stroud Effective In Defeat Of Bills

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud had a mostly productive day on Sunday against Buffalo, finishing 28-for-38 for 331 yards with one touchdown, one interception, and one fumble in a 23-20 win. Stroud completed passes to eight different receivers and helped set up kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn's 59-yard field goal as time expired with a late completion to backup running back Dare Ogunbowale. The Ohio State product completed his first 10 passes of the game, which included a 67-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Nico Collins in the first quarter. The 23-year-old quarterback has helped Houston to a 4-1 record through five weeks with a trip to New England on the horizon in Week 6.
