As we head into Week 10 of the fantasy football season, lineups need to be set, and with that comes some tough decisions. We’re in the second half of the NFL regular season, which means we’re in the last third of the fantasy regular season. As a result, this week’s start/sit decisions are that much more critical.

One of the most popular tools here at FTN is our fantasy football rankings. Each week, we bring you non-PPR, PPR and half-PPR rankings to help you win your league.

Throughout the season, I will break down what players our FTN rankers prefer more (or less) than the expert consensus rankings at FantasyPros. For this article, I will be looking at the half-PPR format.

Quarterback

QBs the FTN rankers like more than ECR

Player Team ECR Rk. FTN Rk. Difference
Justin Herbert LAC 9 8 1
Kirk Cousins MIN 13 12 1

QBs the FTN rankers like less than ECR

Player Team ECR Rk. FTN Rk. Difference
Trevor Lawrence JAX 12 14 -2
Tom Brady TB 8 9 -1
Daniel Jones NYG 11 12 -1
  • FTN and the ECR don’t have many notable differences at quarterback.
  • The most significant gap is between Trevor Lawrence, who our FTN rankers have outside the top 12 this week, while the ECR has him just inside it.
  • The FTN crew is a bit higher on both Justin Herbert and Kirk Cousins, while we are a bit lower on Tom Brady and Daniel Jones

Running Back

RBs the FTN rankers like more than ECR

Player Team ECR Rk. FTN Rk. Difference
Rachaad White TB 37 35 2
Antonio Gibson WSH 24 22 2
Khalil Herbert CHI 30 28 2
Dalvin Cook MIN 11 10 1
Ezekiel Elliott DAL 26 25 1
Jeff Wilson MIA 27 26 1

RBs the FTN rankers like less than ECR

Player Team ECR Rk. FTN Rk. Difference
Melvin Gordon DEN 34 37 -3
Najee Harris PIT 22 24 -2
Raheem Mostert MIA 25 27 -2
Dameon Pierce HOU 10 11 -1
David Montgomery CHI 18 19 -1
AJ Dillon GB 29 30 -1
  • For the second week in a row, the ECR and FTN ranks are mostly aligned within the top 12, with the only difference being the flipping of Dalvin Cook and Dameon Pierce
  • The most significant disparity is with Melvin Gordon, who the ECR has inside the top 36 while our FTN rankers have him outside the top 36.
  • Additionally, our FTN rankers believe that Raheem Mostert is no longer a top-36 option with Jeff Wilson in town.
  • Our crew believes more in Antonio Gibson and Rachaad White this week, as we have them both two spots higher than the ECR.
  • David Montgomery and AJ Dillon are players our FTN crew believes have a bit smaller role this week than the ECR.

A.J. Brown PHI 6 7 -1
Deebo Samuel SF 14 15 -1
JuJu Smith-Schuster KC 16 17 -1
DeVonta Smith PHI 26 27 -1
  • There are a few receivers who are FTN rankers have flipped with the ECR inside the top 12 – Justin Jefferson and A.J. Brown are two players who we believe less in, while Stefon Diggs and DeAndre Hopkins are two we have more confidence in.
  • CeeDee Lamb is a player our FTN crew thinks may struggle to crack the top 12 this week while the ECR believes he is a top-10 option.
  • George Pickens is the player with the most significant disparity inside the top 36, as our FTN rankers have him three spots higher than the ECR.
  • Additionally, Jerry Jeudy is a player we think has a better chance to be a top-24 option this week than the ECR as we have him at 25 as opposed to the ECR who has him at 27.
  • On the flip side, we have Terry McLaurin two spots outside the top 24 while the ECR believes he is a top 24 option this week.
  • Additionally, FTN has both DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett one spot higher than the ECR this week.

  • In Week 10 the tight end position is pretty aligned between the ECR and our FTN rankers.
  • The largest difference is between Tyler Higbee and Taysom Hill, Higbee is two spots higher in our FTN ranks and a top-10 option this week.
  • Taysom Hill is outside the top 12 for our FTN rankers this week while the ECR has him inside it.
  • Additionally, Greg Dulcich and Gerald Everett are flipped as our FTN rankers believe in Everett a bit more this week.
  • Evan Engram is a player who the ECR has outside the top 12 this week while our FTN crew has him sneaking into the top 12.
