Week 2 of the NFL preseason is here. We have only one matchup Thursday, with only 20 days until opening kickoff Sept. 5. I will list my favorite plays at each position for Thursday’s matchup between the Eagles and Patriots, while also providing you with a core to build around in your main lineups.
The preseason info can be tough to find, but I will include all updated news with the NFL DFS channel on the FTN Discord as lock approaches. Let’s dive in!
Quarterbacks
Jacoby Brissett, New England
Played on series and four snaps last week against the Panthers. No benefit to giving the 31-year-old veteran significant time in this matchup.
Drake Maye, New England
Intriguing play. Only saw one series (six snaps) last week but will likely see a longer look here. Maye was 2-of-3 for 19 yards with no rushing production. My big concern is that the Patriots offensive line is in shambles and struggled in practice all week against the Eagles defense. Why risk Maye here? If you start him, you are hoping for a touchdown drive. I’m passing.
