Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) said that he'll be ready for Week 1 of the 2024 regular season after having shoulder surgery last year. Watson also said recently that he's "in a great spot" and has "plenty of time to ramp up the throwing sessions" this offseason after having surgery on Nov. 21 to fix a displaced glenoid fracture in his right shoulder. The 28-year-old probably won't do everything during offseason workouts this spring, but he should be ready to go in full this summer at training camp. Watson has only played in 12 games over the last three seasons due to injury and suspension, but he remains the Browns' starter under center and still has the talent to be a midrange QB1 with the weapons he has around him in Cleveland.

As of right now, the Browns don't have any reason to believe that Watson won't be ready for the start of the 2024 season this fall. However, the 28-year-old signal-caller isn't fully cleared yet. As long as he's ready to go for Week 1, he'll be in the QB1 conversation despite playing in just 12 games the last three years due to injury and suspension.

The Cleveland Browns are signing wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to a three-year contract extension worth up to $58 million. The deal includes $41 million guaranteed. The organization sent 2024 fifth and sixth-round picks to acquire Jeudy from the Denver Broncos last week, and they wasted no time offering him a new deal. Jeudy, a former first-round pick in 2020, has hauled in 211 passes for 3,053 yards and 11 touchdowns through his first 57 NFL games. He has failed to reach 900 yards in three of his first four seasons. Cleveland appears to be high on him and his chances to reignite his career with new surroundings. He is slated to start alongside Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore in three-wide sets.

The Browns are going to bring the 28-year-old starter along slowly this offseason, but as long as he doesn't encounter any setbacks, he should be ready for training camp this summer and the start of the 2024 season. Watson has been rehabbing in Los Angeles with quarterbacks coach Quincy Avery and is now ready to start throwing the ball around. The former first-rounder in 2017 out of Clemson by the Texans has now had two straight disappointing seasons in Cleveland after being suspended for all of 2021. He should still be considered a QB1 in fantasy, but his stock is certainly down after playing only 12 games the last two years.

The Philadelphia Eagles are acquiring quarterback Kenny Pickett from the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday in a pick swap, according to sources. It's unclear as of right now what draft picks are involved. Pickett, who opened last year as the Steelers' starting quarterback before getting hurt and losing the job to Mason Rudolph, preferred to move on after the team signed veteran QB Russell Wilson to a one-year deal this week in free agency. Pickett was likely to back up Wilson in 2024, but instead he'll be the backup for Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia with a move to the NFC. The 25-year-old former 20th overall pick out of Pitt in 2022 has looked like more of a backup in the NFL than a starter in his two years in the league, and this move certainly is a hit to his dynasty/keeper value moving forward.
