Lamar Jackson Expected To Practice This Week

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is sore after Week 1 but should be good to go in practice this week, according to a report from NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Jackson missed Monday's practice to open a long week of preparation for Week 2 against the Raiders after facing the Chiefs in the NFL opener on Thursday night. But the expectation is he will be back practicing the rest of the week. Jackson rushed 16 times for 122 yards in the opener and was 26 of 41 passing for 273 yards and a touchdown. His rushing usage stands out and makes him one of the top quarterbacks in fantasy. He should be locked and loaded as a QB1 against Las Vegas after this report.

Lamar Jackson Not Spotted At Practice Monday

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (undisclosed) was not seen at Monday's practice, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. Well, this is mildly alarming. Jackson most recently produced a staggering 395 total yards with one touchdown and one interception in Baltimore's Thursday night 27-20 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs. He also lost one fumble. There is no reason for Jackson's absence at practice, as the Ravens' first injury report of the week is released on Wednesday. However, we'll be able to learn more about this matter over the next few hours, with head coach John Harbaugh scheduled to speak with the media after practice. Baltimore will square off against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders in their home opener this Sunday. Josh Johnson is the only other QB on the Ravens' roster at this time.

DeAndre Hopkins Held To One Catch In Loss

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins caught his lone target for eight yards in the 24-17 loss to the Bears on Sunday. The veteran receiver was questionable leading up to the game with an MCL injury but suited up anyway. However, Hopkins seemed to play more of a decoy role, logging only 27% of the snaps and drawing one target in the loss. The entire Titans passing offense captained by quarterback Will Levis was shut down by Chicago for the almost the entire game. As Levis gets more comfortable and Hopkins get healthier, the latter should be a fairly viable fantasy play, but nothing we saw on Sunday inspires any sort of confidence. Next week is another stiff test with the New York Jets and their lockdown corners coming to town.

DeAndre Hopkins Active In Week 1

As expected, Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee) is officially active for the Week 1 contest on Sunday in Chicago at Soldier Field against the Bears. Hopkins suffered what he described as an MCL tear in his knee in the preseason and missed some time in training camp as a result, but he had enough time to heal up before the regular-season opener and is expected to have a big role against what was a stingy Bears defense last year. The 32-year-old Hopkins is likely to see plenty of All-Pro cornerback Jaylon Johnson and will also have more target competition in 2024 from Calvin Ridley. It may be harder for Nuk to post his eighth career 1,000-yard season this year, but he still has weekly fantasy appeal as a WR4/flex play.

DeAndre Hopkins To Play In Week 1

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee) will suit up for the Week 1 matchup against the Chicago Bears. The veteran wideout returned to practice this week after sitting out three weeks due to a knee issue. Hopkins told reporters that he's dealing with a torn MCL. Despite that, Hopkins plans to play through the issue, but he's expected to be limited. It sounds like Hopkins will play on Sunday, but fantasy managers still shouldn't have much faith in him. At the end of the day, Hopkins is probably a shaky WR4 with it being a pain tolerance type of injury. Fantasy managers who are rostering Hopkins should probably look for a better streaming choice ahead of Week 1.
