Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis (hamstring) has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain and will be out indefinitely, the team announced. The three-time All-Star was injured during Saturday's game against the Houston Rockets. Sacramento plans to provide an update on Sabonis' status in one week. Losing Sabonis is a significant setback for the Kings, but they have a capable replacement in Jonas Valanciunas, who is expected to take over as a starter in his absence. Valanciunas has averaged 13.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks this season as a starter.

Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. The big man will miss this game after suffering a hamstring injury during Saturday's game. The Kings have decided to take the cautious approach and hold Sabonis out of this contest. In his absence, Jonas Valanciunas figures to move into the starting five. The 32-year-old notched a double-double in 29 minutes of action on Saturday. Valanciunas is worth streaming while Sabonis is sidelined.

Sacramento Kings guard Markelle Fultz will play on Thursday against the Pelicans. The 2017 No. 1 overall pick recently signed with Sacramento after averaging 11.1 points, 4.6 assists, and 1.2 steals in 234 regular season appearances with the Sixers and Magic. The Kings recently traded De'Aaron Fox to the Spurs, so the team lacks depth at the one. While it could take Fultz time to carve out a routine role in the rotation, it's not unreasonable to assume he'll get some cracks at the starting lineup moving ahead. For now, Malik Monk should remain the Kings' starting point guard.

Guard Markelle Fultz has signed a contract with the Sacramento Kings for the remainder of the season. The former first-overall pick will add extra playmaking to the team, which recently lost De'Aaron Fox and Davion Mitchell in two separate trades. Fultz, who has struggled with injuries throughout his career, has not yet played this season. He averaged 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.0 steals in 21.2 minutes with the Orlando Magic last term. His agent and attorney, Raymond Brothers of I AM Sports & Entertainment, told ESPN that Fultz is healthy and ready to play. If he can regain some of his best form, Fultz could prove to be an excellent pickup for the Kings, though he likely won't have a significant impact in fantasy basketball.

Sacramento Kings center Jonas Valanciunasis available to play ahead of Thursday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Valanciunas was acquired by the Kings from the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. The assumption is that Valanciunas is going to operate as the primary backup center to Domantas Sabonis. Valanciunas was putting up fairly decent numbers in Washington, but it's unknown what kind of role he'll have in Sacramento. For now, fantasy managers should hold Valanciunas and wait to see what he's able to do with his new team.
