He broke the second metacarpal in his right hand on Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks and will be sidelined for a second consecutive game when the Heat host the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. This is a significant setback for Jovic, who has taken a big leap in 2024-25. He has averaged 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 25.1 minutes. Kyle Anderson played almost 30 minutes off the bench during Monday's clash against the Hawks and is likely to continue in an expanded role until Jovic returns.

If he's unable to suit up, Alec Burks would see extra time off of the bench while Kyle Anderson and Jaime Jaquez Jr. continue to see bigger roles as well.

The 21-year-old has been battling various health issues recently and is currently on the injury report with a left knee contusion. However, Miami has upgraded him from probable to available. Jovic has put together a few impressive stretches in 2024-25 but is still plagued by inconsistency. Following back-to-back 20-point games, he has notched 29 points across three outings prior to Thursday's action.
