The Brooklyn Nets will waive guard/forward Bojan Bogdanovic (foot) to create a roster spot for guard Killian Hayes. Sources have told ESPN's Shams Charania that Bogdanovic is set to undergo season-ending knee surgery, meaning he wouldn't have featured for the Nets during the final stretch of the season anyway. Bogdanovic last played in a regular-season game in April 2024 while with the New York Knicks. Hayes, a former seventh-overall pick, hasn't appeared in a single NBA game in 2024-25 after spending the past four seasons with the Detroit Pistons, where he averaged 6.9 points and 4.9 assists in 24.0 minutes. Charania reports that Hayes will sign a 10-day contract with Brooklyn.

Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports that Atlanta Hawks guard/forward Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) is set to return on Monday against the New Orleans Pelicans. He missed Saturday's game against Charlotte as the Hawks wrapped up back-to-back games. The experienced scorer has recently returned from a hamstring issue, and the team is being cautious about his playing time. Since rejoining the lineup on November 18, Bogdanovic has averaged 12.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 24.3 minutes per contest. New Orleans has been allowing the fifth-most bench points this season, so Bogdanovic and Atlanta's second unit are primed for a strong performance on Monday night.

It will be the first time Bogdanovic has been on the court since getting injured in the playoffs with the Knicks and after having foot and wrist surgery in April. News of the 35-year-old playing in the exhibition contest likely means he is healthy and will be ready for Nets training camp starting October 1st.
