Naz Reid Doesn't Return On Saturday Due To Injury

Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Naz Reid (finger) exited Saturday's loss to the Washington Wizards. He did not return. The 25-year-old, who got the start in this one, logged 20 minutes before suffering a right finger injury in the third quarter. With Minnesota preparing for Julius Randle (groin) to miss extended time, being without Reid moving forward isn't a good situation for a club that has dealt with its share of injuries during the 2024-25 campaign. If Reid doesn't suit up for Monday's matchup with the Sacramento Kings, Luka Garza and Joe Ingles may take over things at the four spot. However, both players have a lot to prove before earning a consistent spot in fantasy lineups.

Julius Randle To Miss "More Than A Few Days"

According to Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch, forward Julius Randle (groin) will "miss more than a few days" after suffering a right groin strain during Thursday's victory over the Jazz. The former New York Knick has struggled in his first season with the Timberwolves, averaging 18.9 points, 5.1 points fewer than he had during the 2023-24 campaign. It's not an ideal scenario for the Timberwolves, who could be without Naz Reid (finger), who did not return to Saturday's 105-103 loss to the Washington Wizards. If Reid is sidelined for Monday's matchup with the Sacramento Kings and beyond, Minnesota will likely turn to Luka Garza and Joe Ingles to handle things at the four spot. With that said, both players can't be trusted in any fantasy lineup, at least not until they prove they can be productive.

Mike Conley Will Suit Up Saturday

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley (thumb) will suit up for Saturday's game against the Washington Wizards after missing Thursday's contest. With Anthony Edwards (illness) out, Conley is likely to take on a bigger offensive role, making him a potential sneaky daily fantasy play. Although the veteran point guard has only scored in double digits once in his last six games, his increased responsibilities could lead to a boost in production against Washington.

Anthony Edwards Sitting Out On Saturday

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (illness) is out for Saturday's game against the Washington Wizards due to an illness, marking his first missed game of the season. Nickeil Alexander-Walker will stay in the starting lineup, while Jaden McDaniels and Naz Reid will likely see more chances on offense. Hopefully for fantasy owners, Edwards will feel better to return Monday against the Sacramento Kings.

Anthony Edwards Added To Saturday's Injury Report

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (illness) is questionable for Saturday's matchup with the Wizards. Edwards hasn't missed a game all year, so it's hard to imagine an illness will keep him off the floor on Saturday. But with Julius Randle (groin) ruled out and Mike Conley (thumb) questionable, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Rudy Gobert, and Rob Dillingham may be tasked with leading the offense against one of the worst teams in the National Basketball Association.
