The Venezuelan switch-hitter should be considered day-to-day for now, and fantasy managers will want to check back on Tuesday to see if he's back in the lineup. Brett Wisely is starting at second and batting leadoff on Monday, while Casey Schmitt is starting at short and batting eighth against D-backs right-hander Ryne Nelson. Wisely is 12-for-36 (.333) in his first 14 games in 2024 and can be considered a DFS sleeper in the leadoff spot.

It appears Estrada has avoided serious injury by maintaining his spot in the lineup tonight.

The 28-year-old is slashing .232/.253/.400 on the year so his impact to the Giants and fantasy managers' lineups may be fairly negligible. Tyler Fitzgerald is getting the start in his place and will bat eighth. Should Estrada return this weekend he would see Martin Perez on Saturday and Pirates rookie Jared Jones on Sunday.

The 28-year-old veteran infielder is batting only .232 (22-for-95) with nine extra-base hits, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored, and zero stolen bases through 26 outings, and his fantasy value will remain diminished until he can climb his way up the Giants' batting order.
