Matt Chapman Crushes Grand Slam In Win

San Francisco Giants third baseman Matt Chapman came up clutch for his team during Saturday's game versus the Colorado Rockies. Chapman was quiet at the plate until he came up in the sixth inning with the bases loaded. The right-handed slugger blasted a 402-foot shot off righty Jake Bird to give his team the lead. The veteran slugger has two homers and five RBI over his last two games. Chapman probably wishes that he could play the Rockies forever, but sadly that is over for now. He has an ugly slash line, but his seven homers and 21 RBI does make up for it.

Matt Chapman Powers Giants To Saturday Night Success

San Francisco Giants third baseman Matt Chapman went 2-for-3 with a home run and a stolen base to carry the Giants to a 3-2 victory over the Angels. Chapman's two-run blast off Kyle Hendricks in the first gave the team a lead it would hold the entire game, and he singled and stole second in the fourth inning, before being stranded. The 31-year-old veteran is finding some rhythm at the plate after a slow start and now has four home runs and three stolen bases to go with his .250 batting average and .386 wOBA on the year. He has four multi-hit games in his last five contests, going 8-for-16 (.500) with a double, two stolen bases, and two home runs in that span. He and the Giants will look to secure a series win on Sunday in Anaheim and then head home to face the Brewers and the Rangers this coming week.
