Things have turned around, though, as he now has three homers and five RBI in his past three games. He's up to seven homers and 17 RBI on the season to go along with a solid .909 OPS. Manzardo has been dropped in many leagues and could be worth a pickup if power is a need.

The four starts at first base will undoubtedly help his eligibility in fantasy baseball and provide managers who roster him more flexibility with their lineup once he reaches the threshold of 10 starts at first base. Next for the Guardians is a three-game series against the New York Yankees.

Manzardo is making a case to stick around at the top of the order and has become one of the hottest waiver-wire pickups after Opening Weekend. Fantasy managers looking for production at their utility spot or some power in their lineup will want to pick him up before someone else does.
