New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (foot) said his left foot is feeling good and that he's running at 91 percent, according to Newsday's Tim Healey. Nimmo said last month that his left foot was still bothering him and that he dealt with plantar fasciitis for much of the 2024 season. However, the 31-year-old is apparently doing better now and is planning on having a normal spring training. He did hit just .224 (128-for-571) with a .727 OPS in 151 games in 2024, but Nimmo was still able to hit 23 home runs, 88 runs scored and set new career-highs with 90 RBI and 15 stolen bases. If he's past his foot injury in 2025, Nimmo could bounce back in a Mets lineup that is even better now with the addition of superstar outfielder Juan Soto. RotoBaller's No. 40-ranked fantasy outfielder is most useful for his runs scored and on-base percentage.

According to Bill Ladson of MLB.com, New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (foot) is still dealing with plantar fasciitis but is hoping to be ready for Opening Day. Ladson noted that the outfielder received an injection in his foot and has done physical therapy. While this injury has not prevented Nimmo from stepping into the batting cage, he is not running at full speed. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status during spring training, as any setback could put him in danger of missing Opening Day. The 31-year-old battled this injury throughout most of the 2024 season and limited his production, as he held a .224/.327/.399 slash line with 23 home runs and 15 stolen bases. His .224 average was a sharp drop from the .274 mark he posted during the 2023 campaign. If Nimmo were to miss time, Jose Siri would likely see time in center field.

New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (foot) said after the loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday night that he has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot since May. Nimmo aggravated the injured in Game 3 of the NL Division Series against the Philadelphia Phillies, but he played in Game 1 of the NLCS against the Dodgers and is starting in left field and batting third on Tuesday for Game 2 against right-handed opener Ryan Brasier. He went 0-for-3 on Sunday night and was pinch hit for in the ninth inning. The injury doesn't bother him much while hitting or throwing, but it gives him pain while running. Through Sunday's Game 1, Nimmo is hitting .241 with a home run, a .353 on-base percentage and a .698 OPS in the postseason. In his only career at-bat against Brasier, Nimmo had an RBI double.

New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a walk in their victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. Nimmo was quiet at the plate until the eighth inning when he knocked a single to left field, which brought in the eventual game-winning run. Later in that inning he was able to score off a J.D. Martinez single. Then, in the ninth, Nimmo hit his second single to bring in an additional run to increase their lead. The 31-year-old has now tallied at least one hit in every playoff game, providing a great spark at the top of the New York lineup. Nimmo remains a solid pick in DFS formats on Sunday when he will face Philadelphia southpaw Cristopher Sanchez, who carries a 3.32 ERA.

New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo had a nice day at the dish on Thursday, going 2-for-5 with a homer, a double, and three RBI in a 10-6 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Nimmo took Taijuan Walker deep in the third with a runner on and then doubled in a run in the fourth. Despite this solid effort, the 31-year-old has been struggling since July, posting OPS's of .607, .684, and .610 in the three months since. The Mets will hope Nimmo can turn things around heading into the postseason, but for fantasy managers Nimmo isn't a must-start option outside of points leagues.
