Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Cleveland Guardians. It's a bit odd to see Marsh getting the day off against a right-handed starting pitcher. However, Marsh did recently return from the injured list, so possibly the Phillies are just being cautious. In his place, Johan Rojas will cover center field and bat ninth versus right-hander Luis L. Ortiz on Sunday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly, but Marsh hasn't done enough to warrant rostering in most formats.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suarez bounced back nicely during Saturday's start against the Cleveland Guardians. Suarez was crushed for seven runs during his season debut, but looked much better on the mound in this one. The left-hander really had no issues in this one as he tossed seven shutout innings, allowing three hits, while striking out five batters in the win. His next start will come in a favorable spot with a matchup against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Suarez will likely be a popular waiver wire addition after this one and is a good streaming choice for his next start.

Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto and outfielder Brandon Marsh will both start on the bench for Friday's series opener versus the hosting Cleveland Guardians. Rafael Marchan is doing the catching and batting ninth, while Johan Rojas will start in center field and bat eighth against Guardians right-hander Gavin Williams. Realmuto fouled a ball off his foot on Wednesday but returned to the lineup on Thursday, so there shouldn't be any concerns about his health. The 34-year-old has yet to really get going offensively and has gone 5-for-21 with a homer and four RBI in six games in May. Given his slow start to the year -- .170 (9-for-53) with a homer and seven RBI and a trip to the injured list -- Marsh isn't even guaranteed regular playing time against righties. Neither Marchan nor Rojas are very attractive DFS sleepers

The Cincinnati Reds activated outfielder Austin Hays (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Friday, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer's Charlie Goldsmith. In corresponding moves, the Reds optioned outfielders Blake Dunn and Jacob Hurtubise and recalled outfielder Will Benson from Triple-A Louisville. Hays is serving as the designated hitter and batting cleanup in Friday's series opener against the Houston Astros and right-hander Hunter Brown in his return. The 29-year-old spent the minimum 10 days on the IL with a minor hamstring strain. Fantasy managers are hoping he can pick up where he left off after going 19-for-52 (.365) with five homers, 13 RBI, 15 runs and a stolen base in his first 13 games. Hays is a mixed-league fantasy asset as an everyday player hitting in the middle of the Reds' batting order. He's hit .333 with a 1.166 OPS, a homer and three RBI in six career at-bats against Brown.

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in his team's 7-6 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The North Carolina State product added a single and stole his ninth bag of the season in the victory. Turner did all of his damage in the eighth inning or later on Thursday. He doubled in that frame -- but was left stranded -- and ultimately pushed across the game's winning run in the top of the tenth when he singled in Brandon Marsh off Rays reliever Manuel Rodriguez. He stole second a batter later. The former first-round pick has been excellent recently, tallying at least one knock in 12 of 13 appearances with seven multi-hit efforts -- including three straight. Over that stretch, he's a blistering 23-for-58 (.396) with four extra-base hits, three steals, eight RBI, and ten runs scored. Turner is up to a crisp .310 on the season.
