Seattle Mariners outfielder Dominic Canzone (shoulder) is expected to be out awhile, according to manager Scott Servais. The 26-year-old suffered a left AC joint sprain while crashing into the wall during Sunday's game. The organization hasn't given a timetable for his return, but Servais said he'll be placed on the injured list on Monday. Canzone wasn't providing a ton of fantasy value but does have three home runs in nine games. The expectation is that Mitch Haniger and Luke Raley will see more time in the outfield going forward.

Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz (illness) is unlikely to play during Monday's game, according to manager Dave Martinez. Ruiz has missed each of the last five games due to an illness. The organization has not placed Ruiz on the injured list and still considers the catcher as day-to-day. Drew Millas has been recalled from Triple-A to provide some catching depth in the absence of Ruiz.

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Mitchell Parker is expected to be recalled to make his MLB debut against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday. The 24-year-old is a former fifth-round pick of the Nats from the 2020 draft. The right-hander only made one start in Triple-A this season before receiving the call to the big leagues. It's not an easy task pitching against this tough Dodgers lineup. Fantasy managers looking for pitching help should probably look elsewhere on Monday.

Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Adbert Alzolay was called upon to hold a one-run lead against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday. The right-hander struck out the first two batters he faced before allowing a single to Cal Raleigh. The Mariners decided to use Julio Rodriguez as a pinch-runner in this spot. Unfortunately for the Mariners, Rodriguez was picked off first base to end the ballgame. Alzolay has a 2.35 ERA and a 9/1 K/BB in 7 2/3 innings this season.

Chicago Cubs first baseman Michael Busch has been off to a red-hot start to begin the season. On Sunday, Busch went 2-for-4 with a home run in the 3-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners. The left-handed slugger has now homered in four straight contests. He's slashing an impressive .327/.393/.694 heading into Monday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Fantasy managers better make sure Busch isn't on the waiver wire or sitting on the bench heading into next week.
