Washington Nationals left-hander Mitchell Parker (knee) has been cleared to make his next start on Tuesday against the division-rival Atlanta Braves at Nationals Park. Parker was forced to leave his last start early against the Braves last Wednesday after he was hit by a comebacker in his left knee in the fifth inning. However, the 25-year-old southpaw threw his normal between-starts bullpen session on Friday and has been cleared to make his next start this week. Before he left last Wednesday's contest, Parker had allowed four earned runs on four hits while walking two and striking out a season-high-tying six batters in 4 2/3 innings. He shouldn't have any restrictions in his rematch against the Braves on Tuesday, but he'll be a shaky fantasy streamer after having allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last four outings, dating back to April 27.

Washington Nationals left-hander Mitchell Parker (leg) took a 107.2 mph comebacker off his left leg during his outing on Wednesday against the division-rival Atlanta Braves off the bat of third baseman Austin Riley. Manager Dave Martinez pulled Parker with two outs and runners on second and third in the fifth inning. Parker was charged with four earned runs on four hits while walking two and striking out six in 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision in the team's eventual 5-4 victory. The 25-year-old will surely undergo X-rays to see if he has any fractures or breaks in his leg, so fantasy managers will want to check back later on Wednesday or early on Thursday for an update on his condition. At the very least, Parker's next start is in jeopardy. He's now allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last four outings for the Nats.

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Mitchell Parker shut out the Orioles over eight innings on Tuesday in a 7-0 victory, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out four. He has been as solid as they come to begin 2025, as this was his fifth straight quality start. He's allowed one run or less in four of his five appearances, and his ERA is now down to a minuscule 1.39 on the year. He still doesn't offer much strikeout upside with only 20 through 32 innings, but he's pitching too well right now to leave on fantasy waiver wires.
