New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) is not in the team's starting lineup on Wednesday at Camden Yards against the division-rival Baltimore Orioles. Pablo Reyes is starting at the keystone and is hitting seventh against Orioles left-hander Cade Povich. Chisholm is dealing with a right-oblique injury and will undergo testing during the team's off day on Thursday. Manager Aaron Boone believes that it could be an injured-list situation, so fantasy managers should prepare for that possibility. The Yankees will start a new series in the Bronx on Friday against the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays. If Chisholm misses extended time with a tricky injury, Reyes should take over most of the playing time at second base for the Yanks. The 27-year-old Chisholm has been all or nothing in 2025, hitting just .181 (19-for-105) but with seven homers, 17 RBI, 17 runs and six stolen bases.UPDATE: Chisholm said he was feeling good on Wednesday, but Boone said he still has some soreness in his oblique. An MRI exam in New York on Thursday will determine the team's next steps.

Cleveland Guardians shortstop Brayan Rocchio is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the division-rival Minnesota Twins, and manager Stephen Vogt said that both Gabriel Arias and Daniel Schneemann have been playing better. It means that Rocchio could find himself on the bench more often than not moving forward after starting the year hitting .205 (15-for-73) with no home runs, six RBI and seven runs scored. It's the second straight day that the 24-year-old has been on the bench after going 0-for-4 on Monday. Schneemann is at second base and batting seventh on Wednesday, with Arias at short and batting sixth against Twins right-hander Pablo Lopez. The 25-year-old Arias has been much better offensively with a .270/.313/.472 slash line, four homers, 11 RBI and 14 runs in 89 at-bats. Rocchio is quickly losing fantasy value in AL-only leagues.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that left-hander Clayton Kershaw (knee, toe) is expected to make his next minor-league rehab start on Wednesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City after Tuesday's game was rained out. It will be his third rehab start after allowing an earned run on six hits while walking one and striking out six in his first two starts with Double-A Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The 37-year-old three-time Cy Young winner went exactly three innings in both starts, so hopefully the future Hall of Famer can go a little deeper for OKC on Wednesday. Kershaw is on the 60-day injured list after having surgery on his knee and toe in the offseason, which means he's not eligible to rejoin L.A.'s starting rotation until May 17. In the right matchups, Kershaw should still have fantasy value, but he'll be more volatile than ever due injuries and the fact that the Dodgers won't be pushing him.

Seattle Mariners infielder/outfielder Dylan Moore (hip) is expected to be activated off the injured list when first eligible. On Wednesday, the Mariners placed Moore on the 10-day injured list with a minor strain. It appears that Moore should be cleared to return to the starting lineup on May 7. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status over the week in case he faces a setback. The 32-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, holding a strong .286/.346/.557 slash line with six home runs and five stolen bases. Moore has done most of his damage against southpaws as he has posted a stellar .385/.485/.962 line against southpaws. While he remains out, fantasy managers should expect Leo Rivas to see more time at the keystone and Ben Williamson to see more time at the hot corner.

Texas Rangers catcher Kyle Higashioka (hamstring) is managing a hamstring injury. Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reported that the backstop may need an IL stint but is currently day-to-day. Earlier on Wednesday, the Rangers added veteran backstop Tucker Barnhart to the active roster, which suggests Higashioka may miss a period of time. Over his last five games, Higashioka has begun to heat up at the plate, as he has gone 5-for-19 with two doubles and three RBI. Through 17 games this season, the 35-year-old has posted a .254/.279/.390 slash line with just one home run. Under the hood, Higashioka has generated a modest .310 xwOBA but has shown a strong eye at the plate as he has only struck out 16.4 percent of the time. If he were to miss time, Jonah Heim would see the majority of starts behind the dish.
