Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jakob Junis (shoulder) is experiencing a "scratchy shoulder" and could be in danger of missing his next start, according to manager Pat Murphy. If Junis is unable to make his next start, left-hander Andy Ashby would take Junis' turn in the starting rotation on Monday versus the Cincinnati Reds. Ashby is already in the Brewers' clubhouse on the taxi squad after last starting for Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday. We'll know more on Junis after imaging tests come back on his shoulder. In his first start of the 2024 season on April 2 against the Minnesota Twins, Junis picked up a no-decision by allowing an earned run on three hits while walking one and fanning four in four innings. Either Junis or Ashby will be shaky streaming options for fantasy managers against the Reds early next week.

Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Adbert Alzolay was handed the ball with a two-run lead against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday. The right-hander gave up two singles to begin the inning. Luckily for fantasy managers, Alzolay was able to retire the next three batters and record his first save of the season. He's allowed one run in four innings this season and should be rostered in most fantasy formats where saves matter.

Houston Astros first baseman Jose Abreu has been dropped down in the lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Texas Rangers. The 37-year-old is regressing rapidly as he is having a horrible start to the season. So far, Abreu is slashing .105/.190/.105 with zero RBI and a 6/1 K/BB ratio in 21 plate appearances. On Friday, Abreu will fall to the seventh spot in the batting order against left-hander Cody Bradford. Fantasy managers should expect Abreu to pick it up somewhat, but it's unlikely that he holds steady fantasy value.

Texas Rangers third baseman Justin Foscue remains out of the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Houston Astros. The team recalled Foscue after Josh Jung (wrist) landed on the injured list on Tuesday. Since then, Foscue has been on the bench for the first three games. It seems odd that the Rangers would call up the 25-year-old prospect and then not use him. Instead, Josh Smith will cover third base and bat eighth versus right-hander Hunter Brown. Foscue is an interesting talent, but isn't worth snagging in fantasy formats while sitting on the bench.

Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Geraldo Perdomo (knee) could be looking at missing additional time after suffering an injury during Wednesday's game. Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said that Perdomo is likely to undergo an MRI on his injured knee after experiencing additional discomfort on Friday. The hope was that this was a day-to-day issue, but it could result in a trip to the injured list. Jace Peterson is starting at shortstop on Friday. The expectation is that Peterson and Blaze Alexander will split up the playing time at the 6 until Perdomo returns. Fantasy managers will need to check back for another update after the MRI.
