Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Blake Snell (shoulder) threw out to 60 feet on Wednesday, according to manager Dave Roberts. Snell's visit with a doctor recently went well after he had a bit more discomfort in his left shoulder over the weekend, so he was cleared to throw this week. The 32-year-old two-time Cy Young winner only made two starts with the Dodgers before landing on the injured list due to a left-shoulder injury, and he's had several setbacks along the way. L.A. isn't going to rush their free-agent acquisition back, and we probably won't have a clearer timetable for his potential return to the starting rotation until he begins throwing off a mound again. Even in a best-case scenario, fantasy managers shouldn't expect Snell to return until sometime in June. He allowed only two earned runs in his first two starts, but with eight walks and four K's in nine innings.

Cincinnati Reds starting pitching prospect Chase Burns struck out seven batters across five innings of one-run ball on Wednesday against Double-A Birmingham. In this outing, Burns allowed just two hits and no walks. Since joining Double-A Chattanooga, Burns has logged 19 innings to the tune of a stellar 1.89 ERA with a 0.95 WHIP. He has struck out 28 batters and served up just two free passes. Burns began his season with High-A and held a 3.02 ERA and a 0.86 WHIP across three starts before getting the call to Double-A. The Reds drafted Burns with the second pick in last year's MLB Draft. Given his current production at Double-A, Burns should be in the mix to join the majors later this season.

Athletics left-handed pitching prospect Gage Jump tossed six shutout innings of work on Wednesday evening against Double-A San Antonio. This was his Double-A debut. In this outing, Jump allowed just five hits and one walk. He struck out six batters. Since posting a high 6.35 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP across his first 11 1/3 innings of work this season, the southpaw has flipped the script. Over his last 25 2/3 innings of work, the LSU product has allowed just one run and one walk and struck out an impressive 34 batters. Jump joined the Athletics system in the 2024 MLB Draft. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression as he is moving quite quickly through the system. If he continues to find success at Double-A, he could be in the mix to join Triple-A in the second half of the season.

Miami Marlins catching prospect Agustin Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run during their 3-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday evening. Ramirez went deep in the fourth inning against Cubs right-hander Jameson Taillon. Over his last nine games, the young backstop has been swinging a hot bat, posting a stellar .294/.351/.588 slash line with four doubles, two home runs, and a 10:3 K:BB. Overall, the 23-year-old has looked quite comfortable through his first taste of the major leagues, holding a .260/.305/.571 line with nine doubles and five long balls across a 20-game stint. Under the hood, he has generated an impressive 51.7% hard-hit rate and a 12.1% barrel rate, which suggests his power numbers should continue to remain consistent. He should be viewed as a C1 in all formats, given his power upside.

Boston Red Sox outfield prospect Roman Anthony went 2-for-3 with two singles and two walks in Wednesday's game against Triple-A Buffalo. The 21-year-old has gotten off to a fantastic start in 2025, slashing .298/.416/.473 and a 144 wRC+ over 37 games. Since the calendar turned to May, Anthony's power output has dipped with no home runs and just a .333 SLG. However, he also has a .400 OBP with a solid strikeout rate during this time. For the season, the phenom still has an outstanding quality of contact metrics with a 21.2% Barrel% and a 59.6% HardHit%. Anthony remains the top priority prospect stash and should be expected to be called up sometime this summer. He is currently ranked as the best prospect in baseball on MLB.com.
