Cam Devanney Tied For Early Lead In Home Runs At Triple-A

Kansas City Royals infield prospect Cam Devanney is tied atop the minor league leaderboard with the Athletics' Nick Kurtz with four home runs through his first eight games at Triple-A this season. In addition to the home runs, the right-handed hitter is batting .370 with eight RBI, seven runs scored, and a stolen base. The former 15th-round pick belted 19 home runs last season at Triple-A and hit .254 in 136 games, but a high 26.0 percent strikeout rate may have been too concerning for the Royals to call him up for his MLB debut. That, and the fact that he's blocked at his primary position -- shortstop -- by one of the best players in theleague in Bobby Witt Jr. Still, theproduct out of Elon University has played a lot of second and thirdbase in the minors as well, so as long as he continues to hit, the Royals will hopefully find a place for him in the lineup at some point this season. Until he's up in the big leagues getting regular at-bats, however, the 27-year-old is not relevant for fantasy.

Tony Santillan Earns One-Out Save Monday

Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher Tony Santillan picked up his first save of the season in Monday's 2-0 win over the Giants. Santillan entered the game in the bottom of the ninth inning up by two with two outs and runners on first and second. He allowed hard contact to Heliot Ramos, but the game ended on a diving catch by Jacob Hurtubise. Santillan is now one of three Reds relievers to see a save opportunity and he has yet to allow a run in 5 2/3 innings of work to go with seven strikeouts and three holds. Manager Terry Francona alluded to Santillan being a potential option for saves at the beginning of the season, but he also expressed that Santillan may be best suited in a fireman's role. He may not be a consistent source of saves, but Santillan has pitched well out of the bullpen throughout his career and may be the best bullpen arm the Reds currently have, making him worth a look in deeper roto leagues.

Ryan O'Hearn Doubles, Homers On Monday

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Ryan O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo homer in a 5-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday. O'Hearn took Arizona starter Zac Gallen deep in the first inning to kick off the scoring in the game, giving him his first home run of the season. The veteran is off to a solid start at the plate this season, hitting .308 with four runs and one RBI through 26 at-bats. That being said, O'Hearn is going to need to produce more power to be considered as a regular fixture in fantasy lineups moving forward.

Jake Cronenworth Homers In Win Monday

San Diego Padres second baseman Jake Cronenworth went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run homer in a 5-4 win over the Athletics on Monday. Cronenworth gave the Padres an early 3-0 lead with his first-inning two-run blast off A's starter Luis Severino, bringing Manny Machado around to score. The veteran infielder is off to a modest start this season, hitting .265 with two homers, seven runs, and five RBI through 34 at-bats. With four straight seasons of double-digit homers, Cronenworth is worth a spot in fantasy lineups in plus matchups. He will look to heat up at the plate moving forward.

Logan Webb Strikes Out 10 In No-Decision On Monday

San Francisco Giants right-hander Logan Webb twirled a gem in a 2-0 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Monday. Webb threw seven innings of shutout ball, striking out 10 while scattering four hits but had to settle for a no-decision after Cincy starter Hunter Greene outdueled him. Webb is off to a fantastic start in 2025, posting a 1-0 record, 1.89 ERA, and 21 strikeouts over 19 innings of work spanning three starts. The veteran hurler is a must-start in fantasy whenever he takes the mound, although he faces a challenge coming up as he is slated to face off against the New York Yankees on the road on Sunday.
