The Texas Rangers are calling up right-handed pitching prospect Kumar Rocker from Triple-A Round Rock later this week, and he'll make his major-league debut on Thursday at T-Mobile Park against the division-rival Seattle Mariners. Rocker, the team's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, has a 1.96 ERA over 10 games between the Arizona Complex League, Double-A Frisco and Round Rock this year after returning from Tommy John surgery. It's nice to see the 24-year-old former Vanderbilt product making his MLB debut the same season he returned from elbow reconstruction, but fantasy managers looking for streaming options should temper their expectations despite the tempting matchup in Seattle against the M's. The Rangers reportedly want to keep Rocker to around 50 total innings for this season, and he's already thrown 29 2/3 frames in the minors.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins is starting in center field and is batting out of the two-hole on Monday at Fenway Park against the division-rival Boston Red Sox and right-hander Brayan Bello. With Mullins starting to swing the bat well in September, they are moving him up to his highest lineup spot of the year on Monday. The 29-year-old left-handed hitter has also batted .444 with a .989 OPS in nine career at-bats against Bello. So far in September, Mullins has gone 10-for-24 (.417) with two homers, a double, six RBI, one stolen base and five runs scored in seven games played. He's also been much better against righties this year, batting .248 (74-for-298) with 14 of his 15 home runs against righties. While Mullins is hot, ride him in season-long fantasy leagues and in DFS on Monday against Bello.

Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (foot) is "very encouraged" after sprinting three of the last four days. Correa started a new treatment five days ago. He's not getting ahead of himself right now, but it's also the best he's felt in a long time as he tries to recover from plantar fasciitis in his right foot. It's good news for the 29-year-old, but there is very little time left for him to do anything for fantasy managers still in the mix for a title. Given all the time that Correa has missed (he's been out since July), it's likely he'll need some kind of a rehab assignment, although the minor-league will also be over soon. Until Correa is able to return, infield prospect Brooks Lee should continue to see regular playing time at the 6 in Minnesota. Foot issues have become a problem for Correa, but he was also hitting an impressive .308/.377/.520 with an .896 OPS, 13 homers and 47 RBI this year before his injury.

The Atlanta Braves placed catcher Travis d'Arnaud on the paternity list on Monday and recalled catcher Chadwick Tromp from the minors in a corresponding move. Regular catcher Sean Murphy is behind the plate on Monday for right-hander Charlie Morton and is hitting fifth against Cincinnati Reds right-hander Nick Martinez. d'Arnaud will most likely miss the next three games against the Reds while welcoming a new addition to his family, but he should be back this weekend for a crucial weekend series versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 35-year-old veteran continues to share playing time with Murphy and has hit .245 (67-for-274) with 14 home runs and 46 RBI in 304 plate appearances over his 90 games. Tromp will likely start one of the three games against Cincy with d'Arnaud not around.

Cincinnati Reds outfielder TJ Friedl is back in center field and is batting cleanup on Monday against the Atlanta Braves and right-hander Charlie Morton at Truist Park for the series opener. Friedl left Saturday's game early against the New York Mets after he was experiencing shortness of breath. He sat out of the series finale on Sunday but is apparently feeling much better to begin a new week. Friedl has only faced Morton one time in his career and did not record a hit. The 29-year-old has only played in 68 games with the Reds in his fourth year in the big leagues in 2024 due to various ailments. In that short time, he's provided 11 home runs, 46 RBI and eight stolen bases while slashing .218/.300/.385 with a career-worst .685 OPS. Friedl has looked better in seven games in September, going 6-for-23 (.261) with a homer, double, six RBI and a steal.
