The Colorado Rockies moved right-hander Dakota Hudson (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Thursday while selecting the contract of right-hander Jaden Hill from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move. The Rockies also optioned left-hander Evan Justice to Albuquerque. With the move, the rest of Hudson's 2024 season is officially over. In his first year in Colorado after beginning his career with six years in St. Louis, Hudson struggled to a 2-12 record with a career-worst 6.17 ERA (5.55 FIP), a 1.67 WHIP and a 49:50 K:BB in 89 innings over just 18 starts for the Rockies. The 29-year-old really has not been the same pitcher since missing most of the 2021 season due to Tommy John surgery. In the last three years, he's had a 5.08 ERA and 1.53 WHIP with a 12.7% strikeout rate and 10.7% walk rate.

Detroit Tigers right-hander Reese Olson (shoulder) made his first minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Toledo on Thursday and tossed two shutout innings, allowing one hit, walking one and striking out one while throwing 24 of his 39 total pitches for strikes. It was a nice first rehab outing for Olson. Because the 25-year-old has been sidelined due to a shoulder injury since late July, he's going to need a couple more rehab appearances before potentially rejoining Detroit's starting rotation for the tail end of the season in late September. His strikeout rate of 21.7% this year is slightly down from his rookie campaign, but overall, it's been a solid second year for Olson, who has gone 4-8 with a 3.23 ERA (3.15 FIP), a 1.18 WHIP and a 92:31 K:BB in 19 starts in his second big-league season. The next step for Olson will be to recapture the dominance he had exhibited in the minors.

Texas Rangers right-hander Jacob deGrom (elbow) will make another minor-league rehab start for Double-A Frisco on Saturday. deGrom said earlier this week that the club was deciding whether his next start would be in the big leagues or down on the farm again, and the Rangers have decided to give the former two-time Cy Young winner one more rehab start before allowing him to rejoin the big-league rotation for the first time all year. So far in his three rehab starts for Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock, deGrom has allowed just an earned run on three hits while walking one and striking out 10, but in just 6 2/3 innings total. The 36-year-old will likely be stretched out a little more on Saturday, but he'll only have a few starts to close out the year for Texas and will be a pretty risky fantasy streamer as he makes his return from Tommy John surgery.

Detroit Tigers outfielder Parker Meadowshad a memorable Thursday night, belting a two-out grand slam to send the Tigers to a 4-3 win over the San Diego Padres. Meadows ended the game 2-for-4 with a run and four RBI. After his team was stifled by the Padres pitching all night, Meadows finally got to closer Robert Suarez on the final out of the game. Since his return from injury on Aug. 3, Meadows has been a solid contributor in all five categories. He is a decent deep-league option for the fantasy playoffs and could be a sleeper for next season.

Seattle Mariners outfielder Luke Raley had his power stroke working on Thursday, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and a homer in a 6-4 win over the Oakland Athletics. Raley added two RBI and a run scored to round out his line. The 29-year-old hasn't been quite as good as he was last year for Tampa Bay, but since the start of August he has looked terrific, smashing seven homers and batting .283 with an OPS over 1.000. He can be a solid streaming option in fantasy and even a starter in deeper leagues when he's on.
