Max Clark Red-Hot At High-A West Michigan

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Max Clark has been scorching hot since joining High-A West Michigan. The Tigers' top prospect is hitting .302/.375/.500 in 21 games since his promotion to High-A with two homers and 11 RBI to go with two stolen bases. He has two homers in his past four games and has an OPS of .875 with the Whitecaps. At just 19 years old, Clark is one of the top prospects in baseball. The No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft out of Franklin, Ind., Clark has all the tools to be a future star for the Tigers and in fantasy baseball. The left-handed swinging outfielder should only continue to develop with experience and as he grows into his body.

Ryan Pepiot Tosses Quality Start In Win

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Ryan Pepiot picked up his seventh win of the season on his birthday in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Athletics, going six innings, allowing two earned runs on three hits, a walk, and a hit batsman, while striking out five. It was the seventh consecutive start in which the 27-year-old held the opponent to two runs or fewer, posting a 2.02 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and a 14:32 BB:K over 35 2/3 IP during that stretch. For the season, the righty owns a 3.65 ERA (3.79 FIP), 1.05 WHIP, and a 17.9% K-BB%. He gets a favorable matchup his next time out when he faces Seattle, the team that strikes out the most in the majors.

Jackson Chourio Collects Four Hits, Drives In Two

Milwaukee Brewers rookie outfielder Jackson Chourio went 4-for-5 in Wednesday's 10-6 extra-innings loss to the Cardinals. It was the first four-hit game of the youngster's career, legging out a triple, scoring once, driving in two, and stealing a base in the process. Since the All-Star break, the 20-year-old has shown the world why the Brewers signed him to an eight-year contract before playing his first MLB game, slashing .348/.380/.583 with five doubles, two triples, six home runs, 20 RBI, 18 runs scored, and eight stolen bases in 28 games. For the season he's now the author of a .274-15-55-59-18 line with a .328 wOBA and 111 wRC+. With a strong finish, he's surely catapulting himself up next season's fantasy draft board as a phenomenal multi-category contributor.

Jose Siri Hits 16th Home Run On Wednesday

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Jose Siri homered in his second straight game in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Athletics, belting a 423-foot shot for his 16th home run of the season in a 2-for-4 day at the plate. Unfortunately, Siri's above-average chase rate of 32.9% and well-below-average 62.2% contact rate leads to a 36.4% K% and bouts of ineffectiveness, so this two-game home run streak comes on the heels of an 0-for-19 stretch for the 29-year-old. He now has a .199-16-41-42-12 line on the season with a .285 wOBA and 88 wRC+, but despite contributing somewhat across categories, the Dominican is hard to rely on for fantasy and will likely crush your batting average if you do.

Kerry Carpenter With Another Home Run On Wednesday

Detroit Tigers outfielder Kerry Carpenter went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Cubs. Carpenter hit the injured list for two months with a back injury, but in the seven games since coming off of the IL, the 26-year-old has belted four home runs and driven in eight, although he's also struck out 11 times and has yet to draw a walk in that time. For the season, the Virginia Tech product has a .277-12-37-25-0 line with a 25.7% strikeout rate and a 5.8% walk rate. If he can continue to hit home runs out of the cleanup spot for the Tigers there should be plenty of RBI opportunities down the stretch, and his 17.2% barrel rate suggests that there will indeed be more long balls.
