St. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Tink Hence tossed four more shutout innings for Double-A Springfield on Wednesday. Hence, the club's top pitching prospect went four innings and allowed three hits with a pair of walks and two strikeouts. With his performance, it marks the third straight start that he has not allowed a run. Hence continues to be limited with innings, as he has been recovering from being sidelined with general soreness, but has been impressive with a 2.67 ERA to go along with 94 strikeouts in 70 2/3 innings over 17 starts. Hence, 22, continues to take steps forward for the Cardinals, but he will need to build up more stamina to take to be a starting pitcher long term. With his impressive arsenal that includes a fastball that can reach 99 MPH, Hence has all the makings of a strong starting pitcher, but he will need to show he has the stamina to continue in that role versus being moved to the bullpen long term.

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Noble Meyer put together another strong outing for High-A Beloit on Wednesday. The right-hander tossed five innings of scoreless ball and allowed one hit with two walks and seven strikeouts on his way to a no-decision. His seven punchouts were a season-best for the 19-year-old, and he has now held opponents to a .164 batting average between Single-A Jupiter and Beloit. Meyer was the 10th overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft and comes in at No. 75 on MLB Pipeline. In his second professional season, Meyer has a 4.11 ERA to go along with a 1.29 WHIP and 74 strikeouts in 65 2/3 innings. He still needs to work on better command, but if everything comes together, Meyer could be a front-line starter. For now, he is a name for dynasty managers to consider.

Milwaukee Brewers shortstop prospect Cooper Pratt blasted a home run for High-A Wisconsin on Wednesday. The Brewers' No. 2 prospect connected on his third homer of the season for Wisconsin and his sixth homer overall. In 19 games at High-A, Pratt is hitting .232/.257/.420 with three homers and six RBI. The 20-year-old has 28 total stolen bases on the season across two levels. At 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, Pratt projects as an athletic shortstop who can contribute across all five fantasy categories. He's been limited this season by a finger injury but has produced when available. He's taken a little bit to adjust to High-A with the batting average but that is to be expected for such a young player. He still has a lot of development left but could be a future mainstay at shortstop for the Brewers.

Miami Marlins third base/first base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos hit his 35th home run of the season on Wednesday for the Triple-A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. It is his seventh homer in 21 games with his new team after he was acquired by the Marlins from the Arizona Diamondbacks at the trade deadline. De Los Santos has hit his 35 homers with three different teams this season and has not slowed down with his new organization. He is the Marlins' No. 5 prospect and should earn a shot in Miami before the season is over. His power production this season is very impressive. It may be hard for that to translate immediately but he could thrive in Miami as the Marlins look to the future in their rebuild.

Baltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo hit his 21st Triple-A homer of the season on Wednesday night for Norfolk. The stud prospect has torn up Triple-A this season but did not do much in his first stint in the major leagues. The 22-year-old was 1-for-17 after his call-up to Baltimore. That being said, he has pretty much mastered Triple-A and could get another shot before the season is over. Much like Jackson Holliday, his teammate who also struggled in his first MLB shot, Mayo is worth hanging onto this season in case he is promoted once again. Sometimes a bit of the pressure is removed in the second go-around in the majors for top prospects and that could be the case for Mayo. The talent is clearly there.
