Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jackson Holliday collected four hits with three runs in Friday night's loss to the visiting division-rival Boston Red Sox at Camden Yards. It was the first career four-hit effort for Holliday, who also notably ripped his first career triple off Red Sox right-hander Cooper Criswell to the right-field wall to bring the Orioles to within one run in the third inning on Friday against Boston. The 20-year-old top prospect has looked like a different player in his second stint in the major leagues, hitting a healthy .286 (16-for-56) with five home runs, 14 RBI, and 13 runs scored in his last 15 games.

Boston Red Sox designated hitter Masataka Yoshida recorded three hits with a home run and four RBI in Friday night's win over the hosting division-rival Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. Before hitting an RBI single in the eighth inning on Friday against Baltimore, Yoshida cranked a three-run homer off O's ace Corbin Burnes to right field to extend the Red Sox lead to 8-4 in the fourth frame. In 35 games since the start of July, the left-handed-hitting 31-year-old outfielder is batting a hot .336 (44-for-131) with six homers, 30 RBI, and 21 runs scored as Boston's primary DH against right-handed pitching.

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Corbin Burnes allowed eight runs in four innings in Friday night's defeat to the visiting division-rival Boston Red Sox at Camden Yards. Burnes was roughed up for 10 hits and three walks on Friday against Boston, but he did at least strike out seven hitters while taking his fifth loss of the year in his disastrous outing for Baltimore. The 29-year-old ace right-hander will look to bounce back in his next time out, still carrying a sturdy 3.10 ERA and 1.11 WHIP while fanning 144 and walking 38 across 153 2/3 frames (25 starts) in his first year with the O's in 2024.

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner tallied four hits, including a game-winning single in Friday evening's walk-off win over the visiting division-rival Washington Nationals at Citizens Bank Park. After ripping a double off Washington left-hander Patrick Corbin to left-center field for his third knock of the game, Turner cracked a walk-off single off the left-field fence to give the Phillies a 3-2 victory over the Nationals on Friday. The 31-year-old fantasy superstar is slashing a strong .309/.352/.475 with 13 home runs, 42 RBI, 62 runs scored, and 14 stolen bases over 343 at-bats (81 games) as Philly's primary No. 2 hitter this season.
