Alec Bohm Drives In Five On Sunday

Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm came through in the clutch in Sunday's 11-5 win over the Washington Nationals, going 1-for-3 with a homer and five RBI. Bohm had two sacrifice flies early in the game and then took Tanner Rainey deep for a three-run blast in the eighth inning that put the game out of reach. The 27-year-old has slowed down in May, hitting .265 with one homer and one steal through 16 games, but his overall numbers still look good thanks to a tremendous April. It was good to see Bohm hit one out today, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect too much power from his contact-oriented approach. He will still be helpful in fantasy and contribute in AVG, runs, and RBI as part of a stacked Phillies lineup.

Kyle Tucker Launches Two Homers Sunday

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker went 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs in a 9-4 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. Tucker continued his excellent season with his 14th and 15th big flies of the season and tacked on two runs and four RBI for good measure. Tucker has been a five-category beast in 2024, hitting .287 with 33 runs, 15 homers, 33 RBI, and seven stolen bases. The 27-year-old has certainly lived up to his first-round pedigree for fantasy managers and should continue to be an elite option as long as he remains healthy.

Reed Garrett Records Two-Inning Save

New York Mets reliever Reed Garrett closed out the Miami Marlins on Sunday, pitching the final two frames of a 7-3 victory. Garrett came in with a one-run lead, but the Mets scored three in the top of the ninth to give him a bigger cushion. The breakout reliever allowed just one hit while striking out four for his second save of the season. With Edwin Diaz being temporarily removed from the closer's role, Garrett should see a big uptick in save opportunities and should become the team's highest-leverage reliever. While that doesn't necessarily mean he will be the outright closer, he should still be added in most fantasy leagues at this time.

Jose Trevino Homers, Drives In Three Wednesday

New York Yankees catcher Jose Trevino went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 11-5 win over the Royals. The home run was his sixth of the season, and the backstop now has 23 RBI, 17 runs scored, a .324 wOBA, and 112 wRC+. The 31-year-old has performed well when he's been in the lineup and has decidedly better numbers than Austin Wells, but they split time evenly (138 PA for Trevino, 132 for Wells) so for fantasy you probably prefer someone who gets more regular at-bats.

Zach Neto Homers In Three-Hit Day

Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto fell a triple shy of the cycle in Wednesday's 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks, going 3-for-5, including his eighth home run of the season. The 23-year-old also had two RBI and scored twice. After a slow start, Neto is coming off a month of May that saw him slash .284/.337/.477 with a .355 wOBA and 130 wRC+. He also lowered his K% from 30.6% in April to 17.9% in May. So far in June the K% is 18.9%, so he's still making contact despite the low .229 BA during the month, likely a result of an abnormally low .231 BABIP, so this three-hit game could be the beginning of a hot streak.
