Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) was activated off the 10-day injured list on Sunday morning and will bat in the five-hole as the Phillies look to clinch a series victory over the New York Mets. Bohm has been sidelined since the end of August with a hand injury but will return just in time to boost the Philly lineup down the stretch. Before the injury, the 28-year-old carried a strong .272/.292/.412 line with eight doubles, two home runs, 18 RBI, and one stolen base in his past 28 games. Under the hood, he boasts a stellar .298 xBA, which is one of the best marks in the sport, and an excellent 13.6% K rate. Bohm should be locked into all starting lineups down the stretch and is a viable DFS option this afternoon as he will face Mets southpaw David Peterson.

Bohm has been showing progress and could be activated from the 10-day injured list on Monday before they start a series against the Milwaukee Brewers, barring a setback down on the farm this weekend. A strained left hand has kept Bohm sidelined since late August, but he's apparently made good progress of late and should be back in the Phillies' lineup at some point next week. Although fantasy managers would like to see more power from the 28-year-old third baseman, they can't really complain about the way his 2024 campaign has gone. The first-time All-Star has slashed .290/.343/.462 with an .804 OPS, 13 homers, a league-leading 44 doubles, 89 RBI and five steals in 131 games. Bohm will be a must-start when he's back for the Phils.

The Philadelphia Phillies placed third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to Sept. 3) with a left-hand strain on Friday and recalled infielder Buddy Kennedy from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. Bohm injured his left hand on a swing late last week and hasn't played since, but the Phillies were initially hoping he'd avoid a stint on the IL and could return to action this weekend in Miami. The 28-year-old All-Star has missed the last six games and will now miss more time. He will be eligible to rejoin the Phillies on Sept. 13. With Bohm sidelined, expect some kind of platoon at third with Edmundo Sosa and Kody Clemens. The Phillies will surely miss Bohm's bat for however long he's out, as he has slashed .290/.343/.462 with an .804 OPS, 13 home runs, 89 RBI and five stolen bases in his 507 at-bats in 2024. Keep him stashed in an IL spot.
