The Athletic's Matt Gelb thinks it's unlikely that the Philadelphia Phillies look to move third baseman Alec Bohm this offseason, especially since he still has two years left of club control. Bohm had a career-high 117 OPS+ in 2024, but he struggled down the stretch and after suffering a hand injury. The Phillies also like Aidan Miller, a 20-year-old prospect who reached Double-A at the end of the year. If Miller continues to progress, the Phillies could be content to let Bohm walk after the 2026 campaign. Manager Rob Thomson benched Bohm in Game 2 of the National League Division Series because of disappointment about his attitude. "I mean, I definitely wasn't my best self," Bohm said. "And it doesn't feel good. But it is what it is. It's a hard game. You're not always going to be getting hits and doing all those things. There's other ways to help the team win, and it just didn't happen."

After sitting out of the Game 2 win over the division-rival New York Mets in the National League Division Series on Sunday, Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm is back at the hot corner for Game 3 on Tuesday at Citi Field and is hitting fifth against Mets left-hander Sean Manaea. Bohm did enter Game 2 late and was hitless in two plate appearances. The 28-year-old had a fine 2024 season for the Phillies, but he's slumping at the plate at the worst time and has just two hits in 33 at-bats in his last nine games. He'll be hoping to snap out of his funk against Manaea, who he has gone 2-for-10 against in his career with a home run, two RBI and three strikeouts. In 179 plate appearances against lefties in 2024, Bohm hit .287 with six of his 15 home runs. Just based on how Bohm has been swinging the lumber lately, fantasy managers setting DFS lineups will probably want to avoid him.

Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm is not in the starting nine of Game 2 of the NLDS. Instead, Edmundo Sosa will get the nod at the hot corner and bat in the eight-hole. Bohm went 0-for-4 in yesterday's match and will take a seat on Sunday afternoon. Sosa has carried a .214/.324/.393 line across his past 12 games. He will face New York right-hander Luis Severino, who was able to win his last start in the Wild Card Series against the Milwaukee Brewers by tossing six frames of three-run ball. Sosa remains a high-risk option in DFS this afternoon, given his inconsistencies this summer and lack of power.
