Trevino recently started a minor-league rehab assignment and didn't have any setbacks with a Grade 2 left-quadriceps strain that has kept him out of action in the Bronx since the middle of July. The 31-year-old veteran backstop went 2-for-8 with Double-A Somerset in three rehab games and will return to a .244/.303/.411 slash line when he rejoins the Yankees this weekend. Trevino has added eight home runs and 27 RBI in his 59 games in his third year in New York, but his fantasy appeal is limited to deep two-catcher leagues while he works behind Wells.

With Trevino out, the Yankees have been rolling with a catching combination of Austin Wells (the starter) and Carlos Narvaez backing him up. Wells has been the more intriguing fantasy option in the Bronx, but Trevino hasn't been a slouch with a .244 average (41-for-168) with eight home runs and 27 runs driven in over 186 trips to the plate. When Trevino is given the green light to come off the 10-day injured list, Narvaez will become expendable.
