There are plenty of different props to choose from on PrizePicks, and there’s a lot of money to be made. You can pick your choice of MLB, NHL, CBB, NBA, PGA, MMA, tennis, soccer and more. As you’ll see below, I’ll be focusing on MLB and NHL. When more pops appear on PrizePicks, I’ll be sure to circle back in this article and in our Discord channel

Speaking of “PrizePicks,” it is a creative new way to parlay picks based on expected fantasy point production. To dive into the ins and outs of everything PrizePicks, FTN’s Tyler Loechner wrote a comprehensive App Review.

How to play PrizePicks MLB

The format is simple. You pick two, three or four players and predict whether they will go over or under their projected fantasy point total.

When parlaying the players, the larger your parlay, the better the payout:

  • Two-pick entry pays 2.5x (max entry: $400)
  • Three-pick entry pays 5x (max entry: $200)
  • Four-pick entry pays 10x (max entry: $100)

As a bonus offer, there is a “flex play” option if you choose to run a four-man parlay. This will provide some security, as you can earn 1.5x your buy-in if three of your four picks hit.

Below are my top PrizePicks for Wednesday’s slate in the MLB and NHL. I will be mixing and matching my pick combinations from the pool below, with my favorite combinations also included.

Scoring breakdown for PrizePicks contests can be found here.

MLB PrizePicks for today

Here's a look at my favorite picks on PrizePicks Wednesday.

PrizePicks for Wednesday

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. OVER 8 fantasy points

Even if Vlad had had an 0-4 game with four strikeouts Tuesday night, I’d still be on him against Erick Fedde here. We could see his 8-point score rise given the three-homer game Tuesday. People will hammer the over, but it makes sense, given that Guerrero has been having a great season. He’s up to seven homers and is rocking a .360/.484/.693 slash line with a .497 wOBA. Fedde enters with a 5.51 ERA, 4.41 BB/9 and an 86% contact rate. He’s coughed up 10 runs on 17 hits over 16.1 innings.

Connor McDavid OVER 5.1 fantasy points

McDavid has a ridiculous seven goals and 19 points in eight games against the Jets this season. He’s had at least two points in every game against them and he enters tonight’s game on a four-game point streak with 12 points over that span. He had a hat trick, four points and seven shots on goal against WPG Monday. Overall, the superstar forward has 81 points in 46 games.
