Reese Olson Deals On Sunday Against The Angels

Detroit Tigers right-hander Reese Olson got his fourth win of the season (4-2) after the Tigers pounced all over the Angels on Sunday to win 13-1 and take three out of four games in the series against the Halos. Olson pitched with the lead most of the afternoon and was sharp through his 5 innings of work, only allowing three hits, three walks, and striking out eight. Although the three walks are a bit concerning, overall, it was an excellent afternoon for Olson as his season ERA now sits at 3.03. Over his last four outings, Olson owns a 1.14 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, and 27:9 K: BB over 23.2 innings. Next up for Olson is a home matchup against the Rangers. The Rangers' bats have struggled lately, so fantasy managers can continue to roll out Olson confidently.

Colt Keith Goes Yard On Sunday

Detroit Tigers second baseman Colt Keith blasted his third home run of the season in Sunday's 13-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. The Tigers' offense brought their A-game on Sunday afternoon, scoring 13 runs on 16 hits and blasting three home runs. Keith's home run came in the third inning with one on and two out to extend the Tigers' early lead to 5-0. In addition to the home run, Keith walked twice and had a single, scored three times, and finished 2-for-3 on the afternoon. Keith is showing signs of life lately, after not doing much offensively thus far in the 2025 season. Sunday's performance improved his slash line to .222/.364/.722 for the season. Next for Keith and the Tigers is an off day on Monday, followed by a three-game series in Coors Field.

Kerry Carpenter Tallies Four Hits, Drives In Five

Detroit Tigers outfielder Kerry Carpenter had a huge day at the plate in a 13-1 win over the Angels, going 4-for-6 with a home run, a double, one run, and five RBI. This was his fourth game with three hits or more, and he is now slashing .295/.316/.554 with eight home runs, 19 RBI, and 17 runs through 32 games. The slugger has even earned himself some playing time against lefties this season, batting .250 against them in 25 plate appearances. He is in a great spot at the top of Detroit's lineup and should be universally rostered by this point in fantasy.

Javier Baez Goes Deep In Third Straight Game

Detroit Tigers infielder/outfielder Javier Baez went 2-for-4 with a home run during their 9-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Friday evening. Baez went deep in the ninth inning with a two-run shot that also scored Jace Jung. This home run was off Los Angeles closer Kenley Jansen. The 32-year-old has been swinging a hot bat over his last seven contests. During this stretch, Baez has posted an impressive .417/.400/.917 slash line with three doubles, three home runs, 10 RBI, and five runs. He also swiped one bag and held a 6:1 K:BB. Before this surge, Baez posted a .258/.300/.303 slash line with three doubles and no home runs. While Baez is enjoying an impressive run at the plate, his .288 xwOBA and 32.8 percent hard-hit rate suggest it may not be sustainable. However, he does have a favorable matchup on Saturday evening, facing Angels right-hander Kyle Hendricks.

Riley Greene Makes History, Homers Twice In The Ninth Inning

Detroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 9-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Greene crushed a solo shot off Angels closer Kenley Jansen in the top of the ninth inning to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead. The 24-year-old got another at-bat in the ninth frame and crushed a two-run shot off Jake Elder for his second home run of the game. Greene became the 62nd player to homer twice in one inning. He made history, becoming the first player to ever hit two long balls in the ninth. Greene has now homered four times over his last five games. Overall, he is slashing .276/.324/.504 with eight home runs, 20 RBI, and 19 runs across 136 plate appearances. Greene should be in all fantasy lineups while he continues to wield a hot bat.
