MLB Postseason Preview: FTN Model American League Championship Series Projections and Odds

It was a solid Week 6 for us on the college football betting front, and I have two more prop bets for us to roll Saturday. Now that we are essentially at the midway point of the season, we have enough data to make well informed decisions, and I have lots of confidence in these featured plays. Let’s get into it.
Jaylon Jackson (Iowa State) 70+ Rushing Yards

The Cyclones utilize a committee approach to their running game, but Jaylon Jackson has emerged as the best RB on the roster and we are seeing his touches increase each week. The EMU transfer rushed for 107 yards on 15 carries against Baylor last week. Prior to that, he racked up 96 yards on 14 carries against Houston. After toting the rock a total of 19 times through his first three games, he was given 29 carries in the last two.
The coaching staff has clearly realized he is their best option in the running game, and it would be very surprising if his touches dropped in what projects to be a competitive game. West Virginia is giving up roughly 130 YPG on the ground which may not sound like a lot but when you dig into their matchups further, you’ll see that Devin Neal (110 rushing yards) and Nicholas Singleton (114 rushing yards) eviscerated them. I’m a big fan of this spot and see laddering opportunities as well.
Xzavier Henderson (Cincy) 80+ Receiving Yards

Henderson is a bona fide stud and easily one of the best receivers in the Big 12. He has surpassed 100 receiving yards in three of his first five games and over 80 in four of five. The Bearcats are in a tasty matchup against UCF and they’re also getting their top RB Corey Kiner back from injury, which gives the defense another weapon to worry about.
UCF is giving up roughly 250 YPG through the air and will have their work cut out for them trying to contain an athletic beast like Henderson. Individually, five different receivers have racked up 80 or more receiving yards, which includes a 9-200-1 masterpiece from TCU’s Jack Bech. This is another prop with laddering opportunities as 100-plus yards is +285, 110+ is +400 and 120+ is +550.
