The Chicago Bears will be starting the season off with Andy Dalton while Justin Fields will be waiting for his time to shine. With Dalton behind center, should we pounce on any Chicago Bears future props? The Bears have a strong defense, but how much can they do before the panic button needs to be hit for this offense.

Bears futures odds
There is going to be a lot to factor in when it comes to the Chicago Bears. The first future prop to look at is the game win total O/U of 7.5. As long as Andy Dalton is under center, this will be hard to reach — but I don’t believe it will be long before Justin Fields is called to come in. Even with Fields under center, I believe the Chicago Bears will lose close to 13 games. They do come in with the third-most difficult schedule overall in the NFL.
Khalil Mack is sitting at an O/U of 9.5 sacks for the regular season by oddsmakers. While he did average double-digit sacks between 2015 and 2018, he saw a slight decline starting in his second year with the Chicago Bears. He registered 8.5 and 9.5 sacks the past two seasons. The Bears defense ranked seventh overall last season, and they will be heavily relied on once again. I like the over with Mack’s sack total of 9.5, as I believe he will be a huge reason alongside this defense for the Chicago Bears to stay in games.

Justin Fields NFL MVP odds
Like I said above, I don’t believe Dalton will stay under center for that long, which is why I’ll focus on Fields here. He is currently sitting at +20000 to win the NFL MVP award. Can he do it? It’s a long-shot and one most likely one bet not worth taking. However, Fields put up some big numbers in college with the Ohio State Buckeyes. In 2019, he threw for 3,273 yards with 41 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He followed that up in 2020 when, in just eight games played, he threw for 2,100 yards with 22 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. While this isn’t the year to hop on the “Fields MVP” train, next season could be another story.
Bears to win the NFC Odds
The Chicago Bears are currently sitting at +3500 to win the NFC by oddsmakers, and that line has not moved since Aug. 3. With the third-most difficult schedule in the NFL, the Bears would need a lot of luck to come their way to win the conference. They will be hoping that their own division falls apart as Green Bay and Minnesota will most likely sit at the top in the North. They did tie for sixth in the conference last season but with majority of the NFC getting better, this year has all of the cards stacked against them.
Chicago Bears betting trends
The Chicago Bears were a very mixed bag of results last season as they finished 8-8 ATS and the game totals. They only put together two streaks of covering the spread and total last season — one in Weeks 5-6, and the other in Weeks 14-16. The Bears will once again be hard to trust until we see consistency from their offense while the defense will have to pick up the slack.
- 8-8 ATS (2020-2021)
- 8-8 on Totals (2020-2021)
