TNF Plays: Best Props for Thursday Night Football, Week 15

Week 15 brings us an AFC West matchup between two teams that entered the season with higher aspirations. The Chargers (5-8) have disappointed yet again, hovering dangerously close to elimination from the playoff race. Los Angeles will be without quarterback Justin Herbert (broken finger) and wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel) for this game, putting backup quarterback Easton Stick in the spotlight. Las Vegas’ playoff hopes took a hit when they fired head coach Josh McDaniels in early November, but the team has remained competitive under interim head coach Antonio Pierce.

Each week, I will select my favorite prop bets for Thursday night. You can find all our Week 15 player projections here at FTNBets. All of the available betting lines for this week’s opening matchup are available on our FTNBets Prop Shop, where you can easily shop around for the sportsbook with the best odds on each player or team.

Let’s take a look at my favorite prop for this Thursday Night Football matchup.

Week 15 Player Prop

Hunter Renfrow Over 25.5 Receiving Yards

(-112, BetRivers)

Those with a keen eye will have noticed the increased usage for Las Vegas wideout Hunter Renfrow over the past few weeks. The 27-year-old NFL veteran is just two years removed from a 103-catch season yet has struggled to find consistent opportunities for most of this season.

Renfrow has seen an significant uptick in opportunities over the past three weeks, providing rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell with a safe option in the short to intermediate area of the field. Renfrow has posted three straight games with three or more receptions, four or more targets, and 38 or more receiving yards. Prior to their Week 15 matchup with Miami, Renfrow had tallied only one game all season with 23 or more receiving yards, and only two games with 19 or more receiving yards.

The Raiders now face a woeful Chargers defense that has consistently ranked as one of the NFL’s worst all season. Per FTNFantasy DVOA, the Chargers rank 27th in team DVOA, including 25th against the pass. Los Angeles has also failed to demonstrate any resistance to individual opposing wideouts, ranking in the bottom-half in all WR1, WR2 or WR3 defensive DVOA rankings.

Our FTNBets Model loves the over on the 34.5-point total, as well as the over on O’Connell’s passing yardage total of 200.5. With running back Josh Jacobs and wide receiver Davante Adams still listed as questionable, the Raiders offensive attack could be extremely short handed. We will back the reliable Renfrow to beat this receiving yardage total, as a consistent reliable option for his rookie quarterback.
