Welcome to another Sunday edition of MLB Best Bets presented by FTN! We won again after the break thanks to the Atlanta Braves yesterday! This afternoon, we’ll shoot for three wins in a row in the third game of a weekend series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium.
Zach Eflin will begin his second-half campaign for Tampa this afternoon, as they look to complete a sweep on the road. Eflin has been a great addition to the Rays rotation this season and enters 10-4 with a 3.25 ERA through 17 starts. The veteran right-hander has excelled in day games this season with a 7-2 record and 2.80 ERA. Across those starts, Eflin has only allowed opponents a .192 average at the plate. In his previous start against the Royals, Eflin racked up seven strikeouts through six innings of three-run ball.
