Gross Bombs: NFL Props for Week 13

Share

The NFL season is heating up, as we’re hitting the playoff push. As you’ll see across FTN, there will be numerous pieces of content, as well as our terrific statistical tools available to all subscribers. If you haven’t already joined our Discord server, I certainly recommend doing so, as our experts generally find time throughout the week for open discussions, as well as to answer any questions you may have.

This article will cover a trio of my favorite first-look NFL bets for this week’s slate of games. All three plays will additionally be located in our Bet Tracker, but all the analysis surrounding each play can be found below.

Mike Evans 60 Receiving Yards

(-122, FanDuel Sportsbook)

After a four-week absence, Mike Evans returned last week in New York with a bang, hauling in five of his six targets for 58 yards, essentially in just one half of play, as Tampa Bay limited him in the second half due to the score. He was supposedly a full go last week, so if the game had been close, he likely wouldn’t have had any limitations. This week, he gets a dream matchup against Carolina, and according to our WR/CB Matchup Tool, carries a 69.4 rating against Mike Jackson It’s worth noting, we have not seen Evans play the entirety of a game since Chris Godwin went down with an injury, keeping him sidelined for the season, so having previously been Baker Mayfield’s top target, Evans should see an even larger target share with Godwin sidelined. In Evans’ last four games against Carolina, he has averaged 121.8 receiving yards on 7.3 receptions and 11.8 targets per game. 60 yards seems quite low to me, given how much of a downfield threat he can be and per our NFL StatsHub, Carolina allows the eighth-most catchable air yards percentage in the NFL.
