What are FTN’s College Football Power Rankings?

FTN’s College Football Power Rankings for 2024 are rankings set for all FBS College Football teams. FTN’s simulation model powers the rankings.

The table includes includes each team’s current ranking, their previous ranking, their preseason ranking, and the difference. The table also includes a projected W/L record for each team.

How do I use the College Football Power Rankings Table?

Our College Football Power Rankings table includes the following columns to give you a full picture of the landscape of CFB:

• Team: All 134 FBS teams have a ranking
• Conference: the conference that the respective team belongs to.
• Record: Each team’s current record at the time of these rankings.
• Proj W-L: Each team’s projected end-of-season record, based on our simulations.
• Current Rank: Where each team currently sits in our power rankings
• Previous: Where each team ranked last week
• Week Diff: The difference between where the team ranks now and a week ago. Use this column to discover which teams are trending in the right direction each week
• Preseason: Where each team ranked in the preseason
• Pre Diff: The difference between where the team ranks now and in the preseason. Use this column to discover which teams are overperforming or underperforming preseason expectations.
