We have two games around the WNBA Saturday. To kick off the day, we have the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces taking on the Washington Mystics in the nation’s capital. At night, it’ll be Arike Ogunbowale and the Dallas Wings taking on the Seattle Storm.
Below, we will be going over our best bet from this two-game slate.
Ariel Atkins Over 1.5 3PM
(+108, FanDuel Sportsbook)
This one is really simple. Ariel Atkins takes 5.2 threes per game this season, second on the team behind Julie Vanloo. With Shakira Austin sidelined, it’s Atkins who leads the team in usage rate. This season, nobody in the WNBA has been worse in defending the perimeter than the Aces, with opponents shooting 38.4% beyond the arc.
With Chelsea Gray returning and taking over the assignment of defending the opposing primary ball handler, Kelsey Plum slides over to defend the two guard position. Among those with at least 20 minutes per game and five games played this season, Kelsey Plum’s 107.2 defensive rating is tied for sixth worst in the WNBA. At plus money, I’ll take Atkins to go over her 1.5 3PM line.
