Corbin Burnes Activated From The Paternity List

Baltimore Orioles pitcher Corbin Burnes was activated from the paternity list on the team's off day on Monday. Burnes was placed on the paternity list on Friday, and after spending the weekend series against the visiting Texas Rangers away from the team, he will re-join them ahead of the Orioles' three-game set against the Seattle Mariners, beginning on Tuesday. It remains to be seen which day the right-hander will make his next start, but it is expected to come in one of the three games in Seattle. He will continue to be a must-start option in fantasy, as he currently owns a 2.28 ERA and 99 strikeouts across 17 starts this season.

Corbin Burnes Goes On Paternity List

The Baltimore Orioles placed right-hander Corbin Burnes on the paternity list on Friday and recalled left-hander Matt Krook from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. Burnes will most likely be away for the rest of the weekend series against the Texas Rangers but should be back to make his next turn in the starting rotation next week against the Seattle Mariners. The 29-year-old has been as advertised in his first year in Baltimore, going 9-3 with a 2.28 ERA and 1.03 WHIP with 99 strikeouts in 106 2/3 innings over his first 17 starts this year. He picked up his ninth win of the campaign on Thursday in the series opener versus the visiting Rangers by giving up just one earned run on nine hits (one homer) while walking none and fanning five in seven innings. Burnes will be a must-start when he returns to the team next week against the first-place M's.

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Corbin Burnes was able to keep his strong season going against the Texas Rangers on Thursday. The right-hander allowed one run while striking out five batters over seven innings of work in the win. Burnes did give up nine hits, but he was able to limit the damage to only one run. His only significant mistake was a solo home run off the bat of Adolis Garcia. Burnes will take a 2.28 ERA into his next start against the Seattle Mariners.
