The Core and More: PGA DFS Notes for the 2025 Players Championship

The water balls will continue to splash this week at the PGA Tour readies for the “Fifth Major,” the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.

This is the flagship event with a premier field. It’s played on a course that demands precision. It’s not a course that you want to arrive at with any question marks in the ball-striking department. Let’s hop right in and discuss my favorite DFS targets for the 2025 Players Championship.

Core Targets

Robert MacIntyre

While their style is very different, his skill profile reminds me a lot of Rickie Fowler in his prime. Both incredibly well rounded and capable of spiking in any of the four strokes gained categories on any week. He’s also driving it on a string right now, as he’s been more accurate than the field in eight of his last nine starts while being longer than the field in seven of those starts, as well. Situated right on the average salary line, he’ll make my single-entry build for sure.
