It is playoff time. But just because your team made it to the dance, doesn’t mean you should stop trying to make improvements. Things change every week in the fantasy football landscape, which means you should remain as active as ever on the waiver wire.

At FTN Fantasy, we have a Waiver Wire Tool that ranks the top waiver adds of the week and also recommends the amount of FAAB you should use on each player. And every Tuesday, I’ll break down the top five players listed in the tool, giving you the best case for each highly ranked player. With all of the key injuries impacting fantasy rosters, being able to add key players off waivers is as crucial as ever.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 15

1. Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Yahoo 43%, ESPN 72%

Charbonnet is somehow still out there in over half of Yahoo leagues, which is surprising considering that Kenneth Walker III is rostered in 100%. With Walker sidelined last week, Charbonnet stepped into a lead role for the Seahawks, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, adding seven catches for 59 yards. He logged nearly 80% of the snaps, while also seeing every snap on third down and at the goal line. Dating back to last season, Charbonnet has now played five games with Walker sidelined, averaging 17.4 carries, 74 rushing yards, 4.4 targets, 4.0 receptions, 31.2 receiving yards, 21.4 touches and 21.7 PPR points per game. He’s posted fantasy finishes of RB1, RB8, RB7, RB29 and RB13 during those weeks. It is possible Walker missed at least one more game, which would make Charbonnet an easy top-15 fantasy running back.

2. Sincere McCormick, RB, Las Vegas Raiders

Yahoo 16%, ESPN 11%

Though it isn’t saying a whole lot, McCormick has easily been the Raiders’ best running back this season. Over the past three weeks, McCormick is averaging 5.5 yards per carry on 32 attempts. And among running backs with at least 20 carries during that stretch, McCormick ranks first in success rate (56.3%) and third in explosive rush rate (18.8%). Even if Zamir White and Alexander Mattison return this week, the Raiders owe it to both McCormick and themselves to continue to get a look at the rookie. Matchups with the Falcons, Jaguars and Saints present a friendly end-of-season schedule, too.

3. Tank Bigsby, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Yahoo 46%, ESPN 36%

Bigsby took over the lead role in the Jacksonville backfield Sunday, rushing 18 times for just 55 yards, though he did find the end zone. He logged 53% of the snaps to Travis Etienne Jr.’s 47%, out-touching him 19-8. It was a rare game when Jacksonville was competitive throughout, though the Jaguars have the Jets, Titans again and Raiders to end the season, all games where they can keep things close enough for Bigsby to get 15-18 carries.

4. Adam Thielen, WR, Carolina Panthers

Yahoo 54%, ESPN 39%

It isn’t the most exciting, but Thielen has been productive since returning from his hamstring injury. Sunday, the veteran wideout hauled in nine passes for 102 yards and since Week 12, he is now averaging a solid 8.3 targets per game. During that span, he is also sporting targets shares of 33.3%, 24.3% and 12.1% (his first game back). Bryce Young is playing really well right now and Thielen has zero competition for targets.

5. Braelon Allen/Isaiah Davis, RB, New York Jets

Allen: 58% Yahoo!, 49% ESPN
Davis: 11% Yahoo!, 3% ESPN

With Breece Hall sidelined last week, the Jets gave plenty of work to both of their rookie running backs. Allen logged 54% of the snaps and handled 15 touches, while Davis played 53% of the snaps and touched the ball 13 times. Davis got the goal line touchdown, while also dominating the snaps on third down. If Hall is out again in Week 15 against the Jaguars, both Davis and Allen would be on the RB2/RB3 borderline, with Davis getting the edge in any PPR format.
