We’re back with another installment of the Second-Year Scouting Report, this time turning the spotlight on wide receivers. If you read the RB version, you know the drills: no trade charts, no dynasty tiers, just real talk about what these guys actually showed on the field and what we can take away moving forward.
Some popped. Some disappeared. Some are still stuck behind dusty veterans. But Year 2 is when the fog starts to lift, and we figure out who’s real.
Let’s try to get ahead of it.

Second-Year Scouting Report: Wide Receivers
Malik Nabers, New York Giants

In 2024, Malik Nabers turned 170 targets from Daniel Jones, Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito into a 109/1,204/7 line, finishing as the WR7 as a rookie. It was a circus under center, and he still cooked.
The QB situation is still in flux, but Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and rookie Jaxson Dart are all upgrades. Russ probably gets the first crack, and while he’s the least exciting of the trio, we saw George Pickens post top-10 numbers with him last year. Nabers is in another league entirely as a separator and weapon.
I’ve got Nabers ranked aggressively as my WR3 overall. Winston is a YOLO-ball king and Dart might be the best QB in the class, and no matter who wins the job, it’s better than last year. This setup is trending up, and so is Nabers.
Fantasy Take
Buy if there’s any discount. Nabers belongs in the elite WR tier, just below Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson. I’d take him straight up over Amon-Ra St. Brown and Nico Collins without blinking.
