The New England Patriots signed Kendrick Bourne to a three-year, $22.5 million deal Monday, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Kendrick Bourne signs with Patriots
Bourne spent each of his first four seasons with the 49ers, where he appeared in 58 games with 13 starts. In 2020, Bourne accumulated 49 catches for 667 yards and two touchdowns.
Fantasy slant: Cam Newton’s cup now flows over with a new cast of weapons to build a rapport with. Holdovers Jakobi Meyers and N'Keal Harry are now surrounded by Jonnu Smith, Nelson Agholor and the newly signed Bourne. Bourne has never been the flashiest wide receiver, but he fits the lunch pail New England mentality. He has the ability to play outside and in the slot filling a variety of roles for Josh McDaniels’ offense. Bourne closed last season with three top 36 fantasy performances over his final eight games. — Derek Brown
