We have a monster 14-game NFL DFS main slate for the last week of the regular season, and the majority of teams do not need to try this week. The playoff field is just about set, with just one spot left in the AFC and the NFC South crown left to be decided. The marquee game of the weekend is the nightcap to decide the NFC No. 1 seed between the Lions and Vikings, so let’s get rolling figuring out our DFS approach.
Teams That Have Something to Play For
Buccaneers
Falcons
Lions
Vikings
Broncos
Dolphins (they could pull starters early if Denver is winning handily)
Chargers (if the Steelers lose on Saturday)
Packers and Commanders are going to be the 6 and 7 seeds in the NFC. Washington has to lose to Dallas and the Packers need to win, so the motivation for the Packers could fade as the game goes along.
Player Incentives
Baker Mayfield – Five incentives of $500,000 each if he finishes in the top five in quarterback categories
Geno Smith – Two incentives of $2 million each with 186 more passing yards and maintaining his 70.2% completion rate
Mike Evans – One incentive of $666,000 if he’s in the top 10 in touchdowns. He also has the 1,000-yard streak within reach, needing just 85 more yards (can you say Bucs stack again this week?)
Tony Pollard – Two incentives of $250,000 and $200,000 with 83 more rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns
DeAndre Hopkins – Three incentives but only one is within realistic reach, one touchdown for $250,000
Courtland Sutton – Multiple incentives, but the easiest is $500,000 for 82 more receiving yards
J.K. Dobbins – One incentive of $150,000 for 58 more rushing yards
Brock Bowers – Not financial, but is just eight receptions away from tying the record for catches in a season by a tight end (116)
