MNF Plays: Best Props for Monday Night Football, Week 5

Week 5 brings us a close Monday Night Football matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Las Vegas Raiders. A loss by the Packers would give Detroit a two-game lead in the NFC North, while the Raiders are looking to end a three-game losing streak.

Here is my favorite prop bet for tonight’s Monday Night matchup!

Josh Jacobs Over 74.5 Rushing Yards

(-110, Bet365)

This is a usage play for the Raiders’ clear RB1.

There are few running backs who can claim Josh Jacobs’ level of weekly opportunity. Per our FTN Utilization Report, Jacobs ranks fourth-highest in percentage of team rushing attempts (72.1%), and third overall in opportunity share (40.1%). He is a dominant part of this Raiders offense, with limited concerns of a Week 5 blowout given the low point spread (Las Vegas -2).

This is also a fantastic spot for Jacobs historically. In the last six home games where the total was 45 points or higher, Jacobs has dominated. Per our FTN Splits Tool, the Raiders lead running back exceeds his average production across all major rushing statistics.

Green Bay has shown nothing to warrant concern for Jacobs’ rushing production. The Packers enter this game 26th in rushing DVOA, having allowed a robust 155.3 yards per game. We project Jacobs for 17 rushing attempts, which should give him a great chance at 80 yards or more in this Monday Night Football matchup.
