Tyreek Hill "Committed" To Dolphins

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been in the headlines after hinting toward wanting to be traded following the team's Week 18 loss to the New York Jets. Hill fell under 1,000 receiving yards in 2024 for the first time since 2019, and this year is the first time he has missed the playoffs since entering the NFL. However, the team has since said Hill has not requested a trade. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Hill played through a severe wrist injury all year and is committed to Miami after an "excellent" meeting with general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel. It surely sounds like Hill will play for the Dolphins in 2025, and he could have a bounce-back campaign if he and Tua Tagovailoa can stay healthy.

Dolphins Have "No Concern At All" About Tua Tagovailoa's Long-Term Health

Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said on Tuesday that there is "no concern at all" for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's (hip) long-term health after a unique hip injury sidelined him for the final two games of the 2024 season. It's good news, but it also doesn't mean the 26-year-old former first-rounder won't be one of the biggest injury risks at the QB position in 2025. Tagovailoa missed four games while on Injured Reserve this season due to yet another scary concussion and finished with 2,867 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, seven interceptions and a league-best 72.9% completion percentage in 11 starts after his breakout 2023 campaign. In addition to his injury concerns, the Dolphins could have trouble retaining star wideout Tyreek Hill after he voiced his willingness to leave the organization. Injuries and lack of downfield passing will push Tagovailoa down to the QB2 ranks in fantasy in 2025.

Dolphins Say Tyreek Hill Did Not Request A Trade

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dolphins have cleared the air with wide receiver Tyreek Hill, and the eight-time Pro Bowler did not formally request a trade. Following the Week 18 loss to the New York Jets, Hill said "I just gotta do what's best for me and my family. If that's here or wherever the case may be...I'm out. At the end of the day, I need to do what's best for my career." This certainly sounded like the 30-year-old was set to try to force his way out of Miami after he missed the playoffs for the first time in his career. Hill posted 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns this season while playing much of the year without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Surely, this story has more developments to unfold, so fantasy managers and NFL fans should stay tuned.

Jason Sanders Hits Two More Field Goals In Week 18 Loss

Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders made 2-of-2 field attempts and both extra points in the 32-20 loss to the New York Jets in Week 18. His long came from 28 yards out. He will end the season by making his last 27 field goals and finishing the year as the fifth-ranked kicker in fantasy football. Sanders started the year slow and inconsistent, but things turned around as soon as Tua Tagovailoa returned from injury in Week 8. The 29-year-old has proved his worth in the 2024 campaign, hitting several big kicks late in games. He figures to be one of the most sought-after kickers when the 2025 fantasy football season comes around in September.

Malik Washington Posts 48 Yards In Week 18

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington caught four of five targets for 48 yards in the season-ending 32-20 loss to the New York Jets. The rookie took on a more significant role later in the season with the injury to Jaylen Waddle (knee) and the lack of depth Miami has at the receiver position. In the last four games, Washington saw more targets, receptions, and yards than he had in any stretch this season. Tyreek Hill will surely be parting ways with the organization in the offseason, and he could find himself in a more prominent role when the 2025 season starts. Time will only tell, but the rookie has shown a level of promise that he looks to build off of when the NFL season comes around in September.
