This is a great time to be a sports bettor. As sports betting becomes legal in more and more locations, the various sportsbooks are all vying for your business.
Targeting daily odds boosts bets can be one of the best ways to take advantage.
Each day I’ll be highlighting some of the best odds boosts across the industry and where you can find them.
We’ve got three of the biggest European soccer leagues in action Wednesday, and there are also plenty of offers to target in advance of Thursday’s PGA event as well.
English Premier League
Sheffield United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers (1 p.m. ET start)
West Ham United vs. Burnley (1 p.m. ET start)
Boosted bet: Wolverhampton and West Ham both win — +350 at DraftKings Sportsbook (up from +320)
This is a nice little boosted parlay featuring two teams that are slight favorites in their matchups Wednesday.
Wolverhampton is on the road, but they have been playing very well since the Premier League restarted. They are coming off a loss in their last fixture against Arsenal, but prior to that they recorded three-straight shutout victories.
West Ham is significantly lower than Burnley in their Premier League standings at the moment, but they’re coming off an impressive victory in their last outing vs. Chelsea. Burnley tends to play boring, low-scoring games, so they may only need one goal to secure a victory.
Brighton vs. Liverpool (3:15 p.m. ET start)
Boosted bet: Liverpool to win and Sadio Mane to score — +250 at FanDuel Sportsbook (up from +176)
One of FanDuel’s “Super Boosts” involves the already-crowned Premier League champions in Liverpool. They’ve been a roller coaster since returning from the COVID-19 shutdown, posting a 0-0 draw vs. Everton, a 4-0 victory vs. Crystal Palace and a 0-4 loss vs. Manchester City. Who knows what version of the team is going to show up Wednesday?
One thing that’s for sure is that this is one of the best soccer teams in the world when they play their A-game, and they probably don’t need their A-game to get past Brighton. They rank just 15th in the Premier League.
If we do get the best version of Liverpool, expect Mane to be heavily involved. He’s scored 16 goals in 30 league games this season, resulting in an average of 0.59 goals per 90 minutes.

Italian Serie A
AS Roma vs. Parma (3:45 p.m. ET start)
Boosted bet: Roma to win, both teams to score, and Edin Dzeko to score — +350 at FoxBet (was +300)
If you like high-scoring soccer, this game is for you. The over/under on this contest is set at 3.5 goals, and the odds on both teams to score are set at -167. The odds are pretty good that there will be some balls in the back of the net in this contest.
The biggest question here is whether Dzeko will be one of the goal scorers, and he’s done that more often than not this season. He hasn’t scored in each of his past three games — one of which he entered as a substitute — but he’s still averaged 0.60 expected goals per 90 minutes this season.
Given the expected high-scoring nature, it wouldn’t be a shock to see him bag a goal in this contest.
La Liga
Barcelona vs. RCD Espanyol (4 p.m. ET start)
Boosted bet: Lionel Messi to score a hat trick — +1000 at William Hill (was +900)
Is this a bet you should expect to win very often? Obviously not, which is why it’s priced at +1000. But is it fun to bet on Messi, arguably the greatest soccer player who ever lived? Obviously, yes!
For what it’s worth, this is an absolutely elite spot for Messi to have himself a day. Espanyol is dead last in the La Liga standings, and they’ve allowed the third-most goals. The over/under on this game is set at 3.5 goals, but the odds of both teams scoring is set at just -105. The majority of damage in this game is expected to be done by Barca.
Messi didn’t make it on the scoresheet in his first matchup vs. Espanyol this season, but he did attempt five shots in that contest.
PGA Workday Charity Open
Thursday at 6:50 a.m. ET start
Boosted bets: Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay or Jon Rahm to win — +420 at PointsBet (was +350)
Justin Thomas or Brooks Koepka to win — +850 on FanDuel (was +636)
Colin Morikawa to win — +3300 at William Hill (was +2800)
Any American to win — -150 at PointsBet (was -200)
Golf is one of the only sports being played on American soil at the moment, so the sportsbooks are offering you plenty of ways to get in on the action.
We looked at a boosted bet for Rahm Tuesday — which is still available at DraftKings — and you can pair him with Thomas and Cantlay for a slight boost at PointsBet. That would give you a combination of the three golfers with the best odds to win the tournament at a lot of sportsbooks.
Thomas is the odds-on favorite, and you can grab him at +1200 by himself at FanDuel. You could also pair him with Koepka if you’d like, who is sitting at fourth in the betting market at +1600. Koepka took to Twitter this week to throw some shade at Bryson DeChambeau, so he could be motivated to come out swinging this week (pun intended).
If you’re looking for a longer shot, Morikawa has boosted odds at William Hill. He’s coming off a missed cut and a T64 in his past two outings, but he did finish second three weeks ago. He ranks eighth on tour in strokes gained tee-to-green but just 171st in strokes gained putting, so he has plenty of upside if he can roll a few balls into the hole this week.
Finally, you can grab any American to win at -150 if you’re feeling patriotic around the July 4 holiday. That gives you Thomas, Cantlay, Koepka, Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, Patrick Reed and a host of other viable golfers all in the same bet.
PointsBet is also a great place to bet on golf if you’re looking to back just one winner. If that golfer loses but still finishes in the top 10, you get your money back via a free play for up to $25. This only counts for the first golfer that you wager on, so make sure you load up your favorite play first!
