Josh Okogie DVOA, Advanced Stats, & Fantasy Rankings

Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Josh Okogie (hamstring) will be re-evaluated in three weeks. He will miss a second straight game on Monday against the Charlotte Hornets. Since arriving from Phoenix, Okogie has played well with his new squad, averaging 10.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, and a whopping 2.7 steals in 21.3 minutes. Players like DaQuan Jeffries, KJ Simpson, and Nick Smith Jr. have a chance to feature more in the rotation with Okogie out. However, they are inconsistent performers, which makes them risky picks for fantasy managers.

The Hornets acquired forward Josh Okogie from the Suns on Wednesday night. In exchange, Phoenix will receive center Nick Richards. Okogie has averaged only 6.0 points and 2.9 rebounds this season. But he'll at least bring his defensive prowess with him to a Hornets squad that has allowed 112.4 points per game during the 2024-25 campaign. With that in mind, unless there is an injury in the starting lineup, Okogie likely won't have much value for fantasy managers.

Phoenix Suns guard Josh Okogie (hamstring) will be out again on Monday as he continues to deal with a right hamstring strain. He was seen getting some work in after the team finished with shootaround and was moving pretty well, but not at game speed just yet. When he's able to suit up, he'll likely slot back into a depth role and may take some minutes away from rookie Ryan Dunn or Monte Morris. There still isn't a firm timetable for his return though.
